We stayed during carnival weekend with my family and family of my sister at this hotel. It will be a holiday to remember, we had a great time. Mr Marinos at the reception was the most welcoming and polite receptionist we ever met and we noticed he was trying to help everyone. There was a group of kids that their reservation was cancelled because there was a problem with the payment and they couldnt contact them. Immediately he offer them seats, internet and asked to prepare rooms in the setup kids asked. He present balloon to my 2 year old daughter and confetti to the rest of the kids for the parade. He is the person who tries hard to see only happy people at the hotel.

Swimming pool was heated so dont forget to take swimming suit even in winter because you will regret it.

On Sarurday night there is one singer at the bar. We had a great party there.

Location of hotel is perfect.

Breakfast was very good. Just nutella I didnt see :)

We are definitely returning again to this hotel.

I really liked the hotel and staff for my visit this year. Yes minor faults in the room, but this is a 3-star hotel, so did not expect a flawless experience. The staff was always friendly and helpful, I was mainly there for warmer weather and ankle rehab via the pool onsite, which I might add was great.

The O'Brian bar staff are busy at times and that can delay service, but it's not meant to be busy like a UK pub.

The room was acceptable with a balcony view of a new build called the Trilogy, so although they started work at 6.30 am the double-glazed door kept a vast amount of the noise out. The best balcony experience would be poolside as this captures the sun for most of the day, and 1st floor has an extended balcony with a table and a sun umbrella.

The reception also has a supply of towels for the pool, so you do not have to take the towels out of your room.

Checking in and out was great, and they have a spare area for luggage to be kept after checking out so you can still explore the area before your taxi arrives back at the airport.

I shall look forward to returning to this hotel, based on the service and the prices.

This hotel has everything you need for a shirt visit to Cyprus. We stayed for a couple of nights and it was all great. The hotel is not modern but you can tell it has been remodelled and the furniture in the bedrooms is quite new. The breakfast was great (the coffee not so much) but the food was very very good , and the same goes for the pool bar - really good cocktails and food. Overall great value for money and the location is absolutely perfect, 5 min walk from the beach.

I stayed here a few days in June, I paid 84 euros a night which I feel is expensive for what I paid in Larnaca. I booked here after reading all these positive reviews, I really don't see where they come from I'm sorry. It's also definitely a case of 'looks nice, clean and modern in the photos' but I felt the hotel was old, badly kept and not as nice as in the photos.
The AC was broken and it was unbearably hot at night, I told reception and they 'fixed' my AC, it helped a bit but it was still hot at night.
Also the shower water didn't drain properly so I was standing in dirty water above my ankles in the bath, I told reception also about this and nothing was done.
The bathroom itself just felt old and the ceiling was low and dirty.
I did not feel comfortable in the room and did not sleep good. I regretted leaving Larnaca. The breakfast was also very mass produced and just tasteless and low quality, I preferred to keep my leftovers from my dinner the night before that I had in a restaurant outside and eat that for breakfast than have the breakfast here.
The staff were friendly though and polite and helpful, but I was really disappointed with the old and not well kept room different to what the pictures showed and being overcharged for a basic 3 star hotel.

The hotel is really old, in the middle of high rise buildings, small and old rooms, not clean, rust in the bathroom. But the worst is the staff, that is uncoordinated, unhelpful and right out rude. In which hotel have you received constantly contradicting information from reception staff, called reception to be shouted at and when confonting them with the contradicting information were called a liar. We were informed upon checkin that we were allowed to order food from outside, which several people can confirm. Several people have ordered food several times. After 5 days reception staff told the delivery guy, it is not allowed to order food from outside and made him throw away the food. When asking reception about it, I was called a liar and told I have enough food. That is a joke. The food is disgusting, tasteless and blunt and I am frankly hungry every day. That and being called a liar and shouted at by reception staff, who has no clue about customer service and frankly would be better off as a prison guard!

I would have rated this higher if it wasn't for the extremely rude behaviour by the receptionist upon our arrival late afternoon on 18th March.

As I was getting ready to show my safe pass, she said sharply: "Can you hurry up, because I have many things to do".

That was my first impression of the hotel.

Other than this unpleasant encounter, the breakfast was very basic, the rooms decent/clean. Considering it's a non-modern accommodation and its central location in Limassol, we got good value for money.

Recommended for a short stay and for those who prefer a more affordable/less luxurious stay.

Another great stay at Kapetanios Odyessia. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. Everything from check in to check out was stress free. The pool was really quiet for the kids and it’s a good location if you want to walk to the park or sea front. We always stay here when visiting Limassol and it has never let us down. Not in the main tourist area so may be a bit quiet for some but great for us and a good location if you want to walk to either the old town/port or up to Dasoudi beach.

Unfortunately we weren't prepared for incredibly basic standards.
I attempted to request a triple room, single and double bed with both tour operator and the hotel directly as we really needed this type of room but no response to emails.
Instead we found ourselves stuck with a small , outdated, depressing and tired twin budget room that left us counting the days to leave. To get the beds needed and or a bit more space in a fresher room, the only option was to pay which we couldn't afford

From 1st to 7th may 2022, it was my third time in Kapetanios. The hotel has totally lost many points during the years. Bad maintenance, bad cleaning, not all reception staff is suitable to welcome guest. Holes in the bed sheet, in the sofa, dirty basin.
At my arrival I was given a room and the next day they wanted me to change because they were wrong. I asked to give the other room to other people, they didn't and didn't apologise at all.
A person of my group left a jacket in the wardrobe, we said immediately to the reception, they answer to say to the morning staff, morning staff to evening staff, enening staff to afternoon staff. They lost the jacket. Breakfast is standard with low quality industrial sweet pastries, no biscuits, no real espresso. Look at pics.
My third and last time!
