Well, that's the short version at least. In mid-August we stayed in the Aloe Hotel for nine nights; a long-awaited ‘sunshine’ break from work, traffic and the rains lashing northern England. Arrival When we arrived in the hotel lobby at around 10pm we felt relieved; the Aloe was obviously a decent hotel; spacious and tasteful, clean and mercifully air-conditioned with...

We stayed at the hotel between 15th-22 August and this is the worst hotel we've ever experienced. The staff are long faced. No welcome nor smile. We arrived at the hotel in the evening. On booking in we were given the key and directed towards the lift-no welcome, no smile, no bell boy! the corridors are dated with dirty walls...

We have stayed 5 days at Aloe Hotel. The location is very good, just 150m from a sandy beach and close to the tourist area of Paphos. Another good thing is that all employees were Cypriots. The pools were very good and large, especially the lagoon shaped which is proper for every age. However they are both aged and need...

On our arrival the outer shell of the building looked ok with tidy gardens and foyer. It was 2.30 am having arrived late due to flight delay. Were given out room keys and told our rooms were on the 2nd floor. Small lift (max 4 persons) corridors in need of a a complete makeover- tired wall paper , dirty carpets...

We have just returned from 2 weeks of very hot Cyprus. We stayed in the Aloe and after reading some of the other comments I think they must mean another hotel. We found it to be very clean, we had maid service and clean towels everyday. The breakfast had alot of variety and choice and alternated an egg option. The...

Just come back from a 2 night stay here. I'm not going to comment about reception they were ok not overly friendly. The thing that got my nerves about this hotel is that you had to pay €3 a night for a fridge that is locked. I've never heard of such a thing!!!!! There was no tea and coffee facilities...

Having been to the Aloe and returning this year I am somewhat concerned about the negative tone of some reviews. Yes it may not compare with some other 4 * hotels in Paphos, but at the end of the day it is cheaper!!! Also as someone with limited mobility, location is very important to me and its location is perfect....
