First time to hotel and area and was very impressed. Travelzoo deal included an upgrade to half board and sea view. Very good value and hotel was clean maid service daily and all staff were very friendly and polite. The food was very good and we opted to eat in every night. The only criticism was the butter appeared to...

For the price I can't fault this hotel, stayed there for a week hb and the food, service and overall appearance of the hotel was clean and more than adequate. Probably the only criticism would be the beds were a little on the hard side. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Although i would agree that the hotel does not warrant a 5* it was clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly. We only stayed HB so only experienced the breakfast which was very good, plenty of choice. Rooms were cleaned everyday. We did have a dinner one evening in the hotel but found not to be a lot of choice...

Our welcome at this hotel was second to none with a very friendly male receptionist who attended to all our requests. The service was very good at the hotel and the atmosphere was relaxing and didn't feel too showy. The wardrobe sliding door did not operate fully and they had forgotten to paint around the fire detector on the ceiling...

We have stayed at the Asimina suites previously. This is a stunning hotel and well worth a 5* rating. Therefore i was comparing the 5* status. The rooms in the Venus beach are very old and dated. The walls had peeling paint and wet marks. The furniture was out dated and not easy to open. The walls are exceptionally thin...

This hotel is supposed to be 5 star - I would say no more than 4. No real problem with the hotel. The food was pretty good and plenty of it although the lunchtime menu was rather boring as it did not change but you could not fault the portions. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly....

Do not go on the beach. You should not go into the water on the beach. Every day someone is saved from the rip tides, even when the red flag is not flying stay out of the water. I lost my footing because of the rip tide and could barely get back to the shore while standing in 2 inches...

My wife and I visited in November, very poor week weather wise which may have tarnished our view of the hotel. We were upgraded to a partial sea view room that was tiny and very 'tired'. We were refused any further free upgrade although the hotel was only half full. The bath plug didn't fit, the grout was all mouldy...
