Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Fairmont Monte Carlo garners applause for its prime location and spotless facilities, with guests regularly noting the hotel's cleanliness and spacious rooms. However, opinions on value diverge, as some guests feel the high rates and extra charges do not match their expectations. While the staff's friendliness is often highlighted, the service can sometimes lag, leading to mixed reviews. Additionally, while amenities are generally appreciated, the bustling atmosphere and occasional loud music have caused some to regard the ambiance as noisy.

Great location, great view, friendly staff.
Nice breakfast, however every day the same, very nice restaurant to have breakfast with a wonderful view.
It is a pity that at the pool "Nikki Beach" the deckchairs reserved for residents are away from the pool. There was no one settled around the pool and yet impossible to have a bed, unless you pay 200€ + a bottle of alcohol.. If there was a great atmosphere I might understand, but this is not the case at all. Okay, the DJ sounds great, but it's not festive at all, at least not when I was there. There were beds on the second line of the pool, just like it paid. Why not settle the residents there as long as no other client needs it??! It's still aberrant to leave all the beds empty around the pool and force the residents to step further....
I bitterly regret having taken a garden view room, I had taken a sea view room in the past, incomparable experience..! Never again garden view..
Ice bucket in room is charged 10€, I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, I have never paid for a bucket of ice. At Monte Carlo Bay Monaco there are free ice dispensers in the corridors..
Finally, 150€ for 2 days parking at the hotel. Welcome to Monaco:)

We enjoyed a wonderful 4-day stay at this hotel as a family of three. Our initial room offered breathtaking views, but it was located beneath the bar, which made it quite noisy. The hotel kindly relocated us to a suite in a quieter part of the property at no additional cost—a gesture we truly appreciated. Both rooms were beautifully decorated, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable.

We dined at both Amu and the Lobby Lounge, where the service was consistently outstanding. A special shoutout to Letitia in the Lobby Lounge, who went above and beyond to make our son’s birthday extra special with a surprise dessert, complete with candles and a sparkler. The food in both restaurants was excellent.

The valet parking was quick and efficient, adding to our positive experience. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Monaco, making it an ideal choice for sightseeing. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

This was a surprise trip for my wife's big birthday. Four days and three evenings at The Fairmont Monte Carlo and it was simply unforgettable! The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff are outstanding, service levels amazing and overall just an unbelievable experience.

My liaison and planning with the concierge team ahead of the trip was handled professionally and from the moment we arrived to the point we departed we were treated with personal service and the utmost care and integrity.

We stayed in a Fairmont Hairpin room, and as major F1 fans we were not disappointed at all - fantastic views both daytime and nightime of the iconic hairpin, nearby casino, Monaco cityscape and frequent supercar appearances.

I have absolutely no negatives to report about this hotel and it's team, can't really understand why there are some poor reviews on here - please ignore them, they are NOT representative at all! We highly recommend Fairmont Monte Carlo and would like to thanks the entire team for their dedication.

ps. special mention to Calogero on breakfast service (aka Genaro Gattuso!) - he was so attentive and friendly. Grazie :)

I stayed for one night with my pregnant daughter before going on a cruise the next day. We arrived before 6 and went to check in. Although we had the details from our travel agent, the hotel said they could not find our booking. The lady was lovely, apologised and gave us a drinks voucher to go to the bar while they sorted it out as she said this often happened. We came back down from our drink to be told that they still could not find our booking. The lady said we could pay a small deposit and go to a room and this would be refunded. I asked how much this was and it was 600 euros. I called my travel agent and went back to do this as it had been nearly an hour at this point. When we went back we were told to deal with a man who said we could not get our money back, even if the room was confirmed. He was rude and said there was definitely no booking. I got in touch with my travel agent again who we had to wait to sort it while we just had to sit in the lobby waiting. Our travel agent called the hotel and as soon as the man spoke to them he miraculously found our booking straight away. He gave no apology and just gave us our room key and told us to go to the lift. I asked what had happened with the booking and he said it was an error on their booking platform, but again, no apology. By this time it had been over an hour and a half and it had gone dark-we had planned to drop our bags and go for a walk around in the evening. We got to our rooms after half past seven then had to go down to ask about breakfast times, the gym and pool (the latter now closed) and check out as we had not been given any information. We booked the hotel to have a bit of time in Monaco before our cruise but did not get this and instead spent the evening waiting around in the lobby. This is not acceptable and we have not even received an apology. The other staff we encountered were lovely, the rooms were ok - there was a dirty cotton bud on the floor when we arrived and housekeeping knocked and walked straight in at 10:30 in the morning to clean even though check out isn’t until 12, breakfast of mixed quality. I have stayed in many places around the world and have never been treated as badly or spoken to as rudely as I was by the man on the desk. I definitely would not return, my travel agent apologised for recommending this hotel to me and said she would not recommend it again after the way we were treated. The hotel replies to any negative reviews saying they aim to use the reviews to improve their service but, as this is an ongoing problem, this clearly isn’t happening.

There was a wedding with loud music, so loud you couldn't sleep on the third floor. Complained at 1:30. Duty manager said there was nothing he could do. Security said “ to go f... myself” for a so-called 5 star hotel where we had just paid 250 euros pp for a moderate dinner. Far too big and especially impersonal and indifferent hotel. There are better ones in Monaco

4 star Pension that gives the Impression of being a 5 star by its rates. Don't worry, it's just an Impression. Suite Award 1800€ per night, Platinum All Accor Status, so logically you are entitled to various benefits. This is true everywhere in the world, in all Accor hotels in the group, except Fairmont Monte Carlo.

Welcome to the All Accor priority counter, cold and fast. No welcome drink, not even explanations (pool hours, Breakfast, etc).

"Suite Riviera sea view" really disappointing (2 connecting rooms as a suite, with 2 entrances, interior doors), it is anything but a suite. The view overlooks a construction site (Without any announcement from the Pension or the staff at check-in).

I asked before we arrived various attention for my wife's birthday, nothing was done normally. Melted cake in the room, bouquet of flowers deposited in the room after a signature at check-in, solution imposed by the concierge service. No special attention in the room despite the commitment of the concierge service of an unforgettable memory.. An unforgettable memory indeed.

A cold welcome respecting neither the loyal guests nor the guests, a room not up to the standard claimed, a really careless concierge service, a noisy setting (View on Works Newbie at 8am), a stay really to forget, a spoiled event.

Fortunately the room staff as well as the waiters at the restaurant or lobby lounge, live up to this iconic place.

Everything else is really not up to it, icing on the cake the breakfast worthy of a 3 star, an extremely restricted choice with tables and chairs added to the haste where families are visibly oriented, away from the rest of the room...

This Inn is not suitable for families or loyal All Accor guests, you will not be entitled to late check-out or early check-in. Unless you're fighting for it.

Stayed 1 night the hotel is in an excellent location just down from the Casino and main square. Breakfast was served on the rooftop restaurant which had amazing views over the bay.

The breakfast itself was OK but probably wasn’t worth the extra cost. The room overlooked the garden and was very clean and comfortable but a regular hotel room for the money, but it is Monaco and the yacht show was on.

As a hotel guest you get access to the rooftop pool and the Niki Beach pool as well (but can only use the sun beds furthest away from the pool unless you pay for poolside cabanas).

The staff were really helpful and friendly although the check in queue was long and slow and the check in process took a while as you have to manually fill out your passport and personal details.

Food and drink is expensive in the hotel but probably relevant to other places in Monaco.

We were “upgraded” to a junior suite because our room wasn’t ready at 15:00 when we checked in. We accepted the upgrade or else we would have had to wait. Check in took 30 minutes on its own, so we were already tired. The upgraded room was underneath the terrace and every morning at 08:30 construction work started with drills and power tools right on the ceiling of our room. So the upgrade was more of a downgrade. No outside food is allowed to be brought into the hotel, because apparently room service can cover all our needs. We tried it and it was appalling to say the least. One day we left our room at 09:15 to get breakfast and hang the make up my room sign. We returned at 17:00 only to find the sign still there and our room not made up. We called housekeeping and were told that someone would be upstairs immediately. At 18:00 no one had shown up, we called housekeeping again only to be told the exact same thing, someone will be upstairs. At 18:30 someone finally arrived to make up our room. Disgusting service, if you are looking for a 2 star hotel, you’ve found the right place!

Well basically the hotel itself is in a good location, its clean and neat looking. But the service itself is one of the worst considering that its Fairmont and not some low-tier hotel, they have hidden fees which are not present when booking online such as 200€ per night mandatory deposit without any prior notice anywhere on the booking platforms, toothbrushes were not present at the room and when asked for housekeeping for it, we had to wait 2 hours and make 2 additional calls to receive them. Also after daily room service all garbage was left right in front of doorway in corridor overnight, so thats 14+ hours of garbage just sitting at the door. City view just looks over Hairpin with construction site (noise is not a problem). My recommendation is to only go to this place if all other options are unavailable.

P.S Dubai Fairmont is literally levels ahead of this one. You dont even feel that you’re in Fairmont here.

We stayed two nights over the weekend during the days of the ATP in Monte Carlo. We have already been to this property several times and we always enjoy it, unfortunately this time we thought we could use the hotel swimming pool given the climate but the places reserved for hotel guests are few and far from the swimming pool and we did not have never found a place.
The best and most comfortable seats are dedicated to external paying guests. Furthermore, the pool area has music that is too loud since the morning and does not offer the relaxation and tranquility that one would expect, taking on the appearance of a nightclub complete with a show of bottles and candles, nothing elegant and refined.
Exaggerated for a hotel with high prices not to offer pool service when it is present.
I have to say a disappointment.
For the rest I must especially underline the kindness of the staff at the reception, and car and luggage service always available and friendly.
