Enjoy a unique vacation in the Salzkammergut at our lakefront hotel on Lake Hallstatt.
nice spot, beautiful was organised by my husband as a surprise for my birthday. Rooms were very clean, underfloor heating was an added bonus we had a lakeside room in the main hotel. Only disadvantage was the parking, at least 1 mile away, we had to walk because we arrived too late for shuttle bus, on the final morning we had to walk again to car park as we left too early, even though we were promised this would not be a problem. Stayed for 3 nights, use the ferry and train, all very clean and reasonably priced. Town seemed to go to sleep at 7 p.m. at night, which was a bit weird but it was January. We were taken back by the church bells ringing loudly every morning at 6.00 a.m. a little early and loud when you are on vacation.
We took the train from Vienna to Hallstatt then a short ferry ride which landed at the hotel. We checked in with ease and then we were escorted to our rooms, away from the main hotel, another off site location. Make sure you note exactly where you room is as the corridors to get to the room can be confusing. The rooms were large for European standards and very clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful as well as our dinner at the main hotel. Food and service were excellent not to mention the views too! Exceptional food, location and views worth the money.
The spot and view was amazing. The only problem was that all night water was dripping from the ceiling. I wiped the water from the floor several times and they brought us a bucket to collect them . We couldn't sleep cause of the noise. They offered us a dinner and we are pleasant for that
Stayed one night with my wife and 6 year old. We drove from Munich (3 hours drive) and arrived around 7pm. The only drawback of the hotel, is the long walk from the carpark to the hotel. So i suggest you repack whatever you need in 1 luggage and leave the rest in the car! Otherwise my suggestion would be to park at P1 and take the shuttle bus. I made the mistake of parking at P2. Parking overnight would cost around 15 euros The hotel is right next to the jetty so if you are arriving by boat that would be the most convenient. The room had a good view of the mountain and lake. Breakfast was crowded but had delicious bacon and sausages. My son enjoyed the cornflakes. Overall a good stay. Hotel Room: 4 Stars (Good sized room with bathtub) Room View: 5 Stars (View of the mountain and lake) Service of Staff: 3 Stars (Quick check in) Lounges/Restaurants: NA Room Service: NA Location: 5 Stars (Centre of the town, close to jetty, far from car park but there is a shuttle bus to P1)…
Very comfortable hotel! Conveniently located near the ferry to the train station, with lovely view of the lake and easy walk through the town. Friendly and professional service at reception and in the excellent restaurant. Room was spacious, updated, warm and with good amenities. Only suggestion is to upgrade the internet a bit. A very pleasant stay, highly recommended.
It's quite a journey, up and down winding narrow mountain road, and running along the lake. Once at Hallstatt, we parked at Parking P1. 12 hours to 24 hours maxed at €15 per day. Intercom hotel shuttle as it's car free at Hallstatt. Reception received us cordially, and were checked in seemlessly. We had the lake view, great view of the lake, mountain across, overlooking the Jetty and another room was looking to the church. Rooms were reasonably big, clean and comfy with Espresso machine. Pity there was no kettle to boil water, coffee machine so hot water for tea. The continental brekkie was good, cereal, huge selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese and scramble eggs, bacons and ham too.
Hallstatt is one of the best locations I have ever visited. Heritage hotel is situated right on the jetty so it is very convenient if you are coming by train. The hotel gave us an upgrade and the room was superb with excellent views of the lake and snow clad mountains from the balcony. The same views were also there from the restaurant were the breakfast was served. The staff at the reception was very helpful and friendly. However, just to point out, there was no luggage table in the room which caused slight inconvenience. Also the bathroom drainage was very slow. Since we were there only for one night, we didn’t have time to ask for the rectification. Due to the train strike in Austria we reached Hallstatt by taxi. The taxi was not allowed inside the town and there was a long walk with the luggage to the hotel. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time in Hallstatt.…
Chose this hotel for my Mums 60th birthday. When researching the best hotels it was between this hotel and another but this one tipped it for me as the rooms looked more modern. Receptionists were polite at check in. We then were told that we were not staying in the main building but down the street in one of their outer buildings. I thought this seemed a bit strange but we followed a member of staff and after a 3 minute walk we were shown to our building. I’m not sure whether we were upgraded or whether it was just different to the photos but we ended up having a lovely big room with a terrace. The views were over the lake and were beautiful! Lovely big bathroom although the fan was very loud. TV had Netflix which was great as our hotel back in Vienna for the rest of the week only had 2 English channels which were news channels. There was a half drank coke bottle in the mini fridge and the tv remote did not have the batteries in it. Not sure who would steal batteries but the receptionist was helpful and said I could grab some when I headed there for dinner. Dinner was good. Just had the pasta which was good, nothing extra special. The Cabernet though was great! Again had a good view over the lake and we got to experience the restaurant again in the morning to have a buffet breakfast. Breakfast options were ok. Bacon and sausages very quite oily and eggs quite dry but it was free so it didn’t bother me too much as I’m not much of a breakfast person anyway. All in all was good and would suggest it to anyone visiting the town.…
We have been guests at Room 1304 from 8-10 Dec 2022. Our unit overlooks the entire view at the ferry terminal without and blocking from other structures, and we could take many breathtaking photos daily. The breakfast at the hotel is worth spending on as we always wake up early and there aren't any cafes opened at that time as yet. The breakfast spread is good enough for us to savour and chill and relax on this winter mornings. The croissant is a must-try, as it is very crispy. One special call out to a staff named Simon. My wife misplaced three rings and forgot about them after we have checked out. The rings were of great significance to us and we panicked while we were on train to Vienna. We were reassured by Simon that the housekeeping staff is on the lookout for them within 5 minutes. Thank God that the rings were found and we thought of travelling back to Hallstatt the next day after we have settled and checked in at Vienna. To our greatest surprise, Simon also planned to make a trip to Vienna the next day (11/12) and meet us near Opera House! Our rings are now back with us and many thanks to the staff at Heritage Hotel, especially Simon, for helping us to keep our rings intact.…
First of all, Hallstatt is a very beautiful village to visit. We picked this hotel based on the online reviews and its convenient location. While the village is not large and most of the hotels/accommodations in Hallstatt are well within walking distance, this hotel is located right next to the ferry pier for connecting to the regional train station over the opposite shore. We reserved a room with lake view and the scene is good. The room is reasonably spacious and it is tidy and clean. The provisions in the room are generally sufficient. One point to note is that my room did not have an electric kettle, so we needed to use the coffee/tea maker to obtain hot water. It would be nice if the hotel could also provide a kettle in the future. Moreover, the half glass shower door design affected the showering/bathing experience a bit. The services and staff are overall up to standard but could be more cheerful and attentive. The breakfast in the restaurant, though not sumptuous and very tasty, is overall decent with a reasonable variety of food and beverage. I did not have dinner / lunch in the restaurant so I could not comment on the food and services of the hotel restaurant. Overall, this is a good option for staying in Hallstatt. …
