This hotel is horrifying. No staff is ever around. No housekeeping around. Empty tissue boxes are not refilled. Cleaning is appalling between nights. Only staff we ever saw was someone helping us to check in. And the staff refused to fix the heating for us. We could only use the fireplace - we need to constantly add wood. If we don’t, it becomes very cold. It’s like we are doing hard labour in Serbia. Almost €400 a night, nothing is included. Breakfast not included. Parking not included. Sauna not included. This hotel is crazy over money, way too greedy. Totally ruined our experiences. If you do not want your holiday ruined, don’t stay here
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hallstatt Hideaway and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. The apartment was a dream. It was immaculately clean when we arrived, it felt like new. It was really well equipped with super modern and top quality amenities. We used the kitchen a bit and even lit the fireplace, yes it has a fireplace! The view is spectacular over the lake and the magnificent mountains. The location was perfect, just steps away from the beautiful lake and the charming centre of Hallstatt. Tika, the host, was super friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in the beautiful village of Hallstatt.…
We stayed here two nights in August and really enjoyed the place. We had an upper level room with a hot tub. Our friends had a lower level room and there's was just a nice- I think all the rooms are probably great. The hot tub was nice as it was cold and rainy one evening and we enjoyed sitting out there. A couple suggestions for Hallstatt- dining options at night are extremely limited- consider making a reservation early if you want to eat somewhere. Also- I'd suggest staying here and then leaving during the day to enjoy the surrounding area. Halstatt is beautiful early in the morning and in the evening with the day trippers are not here. Get up early and enjoy the town. The buses show up around 8-9:00am and the masses or Russian and Chinese tourists overrun the town. We used the day time to go explore nearby areas of Sulzenalmen and Gosausee - both of which I'd highly recommend.…
My partner and I stayed at the Hallstatt Hideaway for two amazing nights in the Wren Suite. It was definitely worth it for the views alone, but the rest of the space was clean, modern and had all the essentials. Sandra especially made us feel very welcome and was so accomodating, we wish we could have stayed longer in this fairytale town.
Absolutely great. Sandra and Niki fullfilled all our wishes and were the best hosts one can have. Super friendly, always reachable and very warm. The suites are incredibly beautiful and clean. The fireplace, private sauna and in some suites even a jacuzzi make it a very romantic place to stay for couples. Breakfast was awesome, prepared with lots of love and best of all delivered directly to our bed. Thank you for having us and making it such a lovely experience. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back ourself soon.
Everything was perfect! Sandra answered all of my questions prior to arrival. She helped me surprise my husband with a birthday cake, champagne, and balloons when we walked in. The staff was also very accommodating to our vegan food preferences. It has been a few days since we left Hallstatt Hideaway and we continue to day dream about the views and the hot tub from the penthouse suite. Wonderful all around and we would definitely stay here again!
pay attention what room you book if you want to get access to the „jacuzzi“. if you book the wrong room then your will receive a „sorry“ no jacuzzi“ pay attention that the sauna is for an additional 75 eur for 2hours. learned about this not at the time of booking but when checking in we booked breakfast. but instead of a tasty breakfast we received the message: sorry the breakfast guy is off today. but hey there is a supermarket and you can breakfast yourself. but imagine, the supermarket is closed on sundays.... hmm we had to stay hungry and all of this for a bargain of about eur 600/night this is a tourist trap 2 stars for the nice view
I went through the review before arrival, so I was a bit worried that the service would not be good. However, my worries were totally unnecessary. The host asked us about our estimated arrival time. When we arrived, someone answered the door and let us store the luggage. When we returned to check in, the staff was very welcoming and helped me with my luggage. The room was very nice and well equipped. There was nespresso, welcoming fruits, dishes, cutlery and needless to say, dyson fans and hairdryer. View from the room was superb. I wish we would stay there longer. When we check out, the staff also helped me with my luggage. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
I’ve been struggling with this review since we checked out on Sunday morning. Lets do the good stuff, or great stuff. Our room was beautiful, both modern and contemporary in equal measure, superb views over the lake, log burner, lovely comfortable bed, coffee machine, Dyson fan and hairdryer. So what’s not to like? We arrived 10 mins before our check in time, the door was locked, pushed the reception buzzer, no reply, tried again, still no reply. Tried to use the key safe, to get our key, entered our code to find our safe empty. I accept I was early, so we waited until 2.00pm, still nobody seemed to be around. At around 2.15 a member of staff opened the door, to take out some rubbish. unaware of our arrival, he told us to come in and await the receptionist, who arrived a few minutes later. He showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know was on a ipad next to the bed, and if we needed anything, to use the iPad chat function. After 30 mins we tried the see the information on the iPad, just a blank screen appeared, we tried the chat function to inform the receptionist that the iPad was faulty, again no reply. At this stage, we were going out in the village, so I thought we could talk to the reception on our way out, nobody was around! So we thought we would catch them on our return, we returned at around 5.00pm to find a empty reception desk. On returning to our room, we thought it would be nice to light the fire, didn’t have any matches! Perhaps the info was on the non working iPad? I tried the coffee machine next, only one decaf coffee pod was supplied, perhaps I could get more if the iPad chat feature was working! So I tried to contact the e-mail address of our booking info. 3 hours and 45 mins later (after we had gone to bed)I received a reply, telling me to reset the iPad, which I had done several times. The WiFi was also poor, with no connection at all for around a hour in the evening. I was also amazed at having a €400 Dyson hairdryer and fan supplied, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. I really loved the room and views, but technology and lack of a reception team let the whole experience down. If I was able to speak to someone, all these problems could have been easily resolved. I’m sure our case was a isolated one, and we were just unlucky. …
This was one of the more expensive places we stayed at. It seemed a little chaotic checking in, as they have two properties and were shorthanded that day. Be aware that it is on a higher road, which is great to escape the crowds, but could be tough to get to with lots of luggage. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom was the nicest and largest we had on our trip. The staff was very helpful and kind—even giving us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary.
