This is a nice hotel, pretty close to the center of the old city. I had an "economy" - and it was exactly that.... The room had what was needed and it was clean. It was not a place where you would like to spend hours, being awake. Workout is offered, but not really a place, which is nice. This... More

Two tired guests from Norway arrived by taxi 1st of August to stay for three nights. Even before we had reached the entrance, the receptionist on duty, named Andrea, saw us and greeted us with her eyes. I don't think I have ever felt so much as a welcomed guest on arriving to a hotel. The registration and information continued... More

Very nice and trendy hotel. Independent rooms are huge and beds are big and comfy. Absolutely adored the deco and the combination of modern and antique - it feels comfy there. It also has a barber shop, which is unique. Quiet, even though my room was next to the main road. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Only stayed here for one night but it was very nice and comfortable. Made use of the sauna and steam room. We didn't have dinner here but enjoyed a peach schnapps when we arrived back late. The breakfast was very nice. Loved the quirky touches to this hotel.

Dear Maureen, Many thanks for your review. Since 2010 we have been constantly breathing new life into the grand Jugendstil walls of the building – so therefore the 5 stars don’t exist anymore. The result is a blend of the old and the new with a touch of soul – and a lot of space for dedicate to our guests... More

This hotel is really nice. The prices are little high but the service, location and stay is really good. Near to restaurants and public transport. Close to the city center as well. The rooms are cozy and our room had a fridge to store your food products.

Really enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Wiesler for the Austrian Moto GP at Spielberg. Great room (bit expensive) with very contemporary design, very good facilities in the room, excellent shower and lots of space, recommend the 5th floor. (4,5/5). From all hotels in Graz I tried I like this one best. But only if you manage to stay in one of their renovated rooms (the non 'standard' room). Then you get an experience which is very different from your standard 5 star: un plastered walls, glass shower in the room, spartanic equipment eg hangers no wardrobe. But it... More

Hotel was ok but too much emphasis on the style of hotel rather than comfort for residents. We were in a Superior room with a river view (505). There was a small hanging rail with half a dozen coat hangers. There was no drawer space at all. Fine for the solo business guest but not suitable for tourists with luggage.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Wiesler, in the heart of Graz, has abandoned splendour and star ratings – but not the good old days. Fresh details such as a traditional shave from our female barber, a Turkish bath or military bikes for hire round off the whole experience. At the ‘Speisesaal’ restaurant (open all day), the day begins with breakfast beneath street art covering an entire wall and is finished off with international dishes and soul vinyl music. Only a few minutes’ walk from Schloßberg and Kunsthaus, the Wiesler is the perfect base for a city tour. And those who still have to work will find free WiFi throughout the hotel. ‘Re-interpreted luxury’ feels comfortingly light at Hotel Wiesler – for all those who expect more than just a good bed and central location. ... more   less
