My self and partner visited Salzburg for the first time in December during the xmas market period. We stayed at the Altstadthotel and were very happy with the service. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The staff were friendly. I would recommended it to anyone for a central located hotel. Walking distance to the buses...

Stayed for one night with my parents, husband and baby. We had two rooms booked and they were actually quite different... one had a bathtub and bigger bathroom but the other had a tiny bathroom with only a shower but featured a mini bar. The hotel accommodated both our dog and baby by providing an infant crib (both free of...

My father and I had the pleasure of staying here whilst in Salzburg and it ticked every box of a great hotel; it is in a central location, it is of historical signifcance (it has a cinema attached that boasts being the oldest of it's type) and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff...

Our family of four (children aged 11 and 8) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel. Right from check-in the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Leopoldskron suite which was perfect for us - main bedroom downstairs and a sitting area upstairs with fold out sofa for the children. The room must have been renovated...

Stayed 3 nights over Xmas. Was a little concerned about the 'quirkiness' of the rooms after reading the reviews but we were thoroughly pleased with our room on second floor which was clean spacious, a modern bathroom and had traditional decorative furniture. And front facing so a view of the fort. Second room for teenagers was also ideally modern on...

I came here on December 16thg. with my daughter and we loved our stay. We arrived quickly from the airport taking a number 10 bus. This is an easy and quick journey. Got off in old town and walked to the hotel. We had a choice of rooms and decided on the annex as it was cosy and spacious. Breakfast...

This was our first stay in Austria and picked Salzburg for he chance to see the Christmas Markets. We originally selected the Altstadthotel Kasererbraeu for its central location but found this lovely quaint hotel was more than just somewhere to say. The hotel itself is well looked after and run but some of the most friendly but professional people. They...

A party of us stayed for 3 nights. The real plus is that it is very central in the old city o everything is fairly accessible. Each of the 3 rooms our party occupied was quite different in size and decor. Only one had a minibar proper; one had a stack of stuff on a table whilst ours had neither...

You'll be very surprised here. As their name states, Old City Hotel, it's in the old city. Although we were only in Salzburg for 2 days, what we did see was close to this property. Close to all of old city with plenty of restaurants close by. If you're a movie nostalgia buff, there is an old (operating) movie theater...

Choose from 45 individual, stylishly appointed rooms and suites and indulge in the luxury of staying right at the centre of the cultural capital of Austria, Salzburg. Experience cordial hospitality and the unique atmosphere and feel at home in the cosy rooms decorated with great care. Although the Salzburg hotel lies at the heart of the World Heritage Site in the city of Mozart it is still accessible by car. It’s the only hotel in the historic center of Salzburg with an own car parking. The extensive breakfast buffet leaves no breakfast wishes unfulfilled. Experience a marvellous breakfast on the hotel’s terrace in summer. Recharge your batteries after an exciting sightseeing tour at an oasis of relaxation. A sauna and a quiet room are waiting for you at the wellness area. Why not treat yourself to a soothing Ayurvedic massage during your stay? The charming Salzburg hotel could very well be the star of a film. Romy Schneider, the actress of the widely known ‘Sissi’ films once stayed at the picturesque Hotel Kasererbraeu. The locals gathered at the hotel’s own cinema in great crowds to watch the premiere of ‘Sissi’. The Mozartkino Cinema is one of the oldest cinemas in the world. ... more   less
