Pros: Location is excellent and perfectly situated to see all the sights. When you walk out of the hotel you are immediately in a charming pedestrian area with shops and cafes. Grocery store around the corner. Storage for our bicycles was accommodated graciously. Room was very basic (dorm like), clean & spacious with generous size fridge. Internet connection strong. Linens...

This was a great centrally located hotel. Easy to walk to the old town and all of the sights. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. One thing to note if you stay here (which I do recommend) is that they only have a small limited number of hair dryers for the hotel. If you do not bring your...

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. The room was very basic in decor. Very thrifty, no shampoo and tissues, no safe. The one feature was a small fridge in the room. The hotel staff smoke in the hotel and the smell travels up. All the hallways smell like cigarette smoke. Not nice. Right in the center of town, very...

The location of this hotel is perfect, and the staff were very helpful. However there was a lot of noise on the street outside from bars in the evening and from the street cleaners in the morning. We only got about 5-6 hours sleep each night. And breakfast is disappointing. Overall it feels more like a pricey youth hostel than...

This hotel is quite centrally located, near the Mirabell garden. Mostly, that's the only thing good to be mentioned. Room is not that big and they made it even smaller by putting two awful big and old wardrobes into the room. It looked like they had nowhere to put them, so they put it there. There are not enough electrical...

This hotel is very unique - essentially a dorm that is turned into a hotel in the summer months. That being said, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. They helped with directions, places to eat, the Sound of Music tour etc. In a great location with an easy walk across the bridge to...

I chose this hotel for two reasons, first was location, second was price. The location was great and the price was competitive, however this was not a comfortable place to stay. The rooms were far too hot, there is no air con and simple things like electric fans that would have made a difference were not available. Even with the...

This is what I can say about the location of this hotel. Very near to the old town and an easy walk to the Mirabell Garden. We stayed in a triple room last week. The room was spacious and the wifi was good. The staff were very cordial and helpful. They helped us to make bookings for the evening concert...

I have been to Schwarzes Rossl in August 2014. It has a very good location (2-5 minutes walk to the river and Mirabell Garten) and it has a great cost-benefit relation. The place is quite simple but very tidy and with spacious rooms. The staff is very attentious and helpful. I would point out some minor cons: the breakfast is...

The only negative point is the pub next door. Sometimes is a little bit noisy. Great rooms and breakfast, served in the coffee shop next door. The staff is very friendly and the location is awesome. You can go on feet to the main tourist sightseeings, like mirabellgarten and the festung. I strongly recommend!
