Although I haven't stayed in many hotels, the Sacher in Salzburg is def on the top. The rooms are very luxurious and clean, service is great and the food is amazing. At night the scenery of the river and city is amazing. The cost is a big high but at a very special occasion it is the place to be.

Spent 3 nights here last month. Absolutely fantastic service and amenities. Room was very comfortable and beautiful. Arrived to the room to find delicious Sacher Tortes waiting for us. A nice touch. Had dinner in the restaurant one evening and everything was wonderful. I would most definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

A stunning hotel - the rooms are large and well appointed, particularly the bathrooms. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the Cafe was very good, though dinner in the formal dining restaurant was not as well received by our group. Good location, not a bad walk from the main sites and shopping.

Great hotel right on the Salzach River looking across to the Alstadt. Our third floor room balcony had a spectacular view of the fortress and all the towers, bridges and the Monchstein. Also a half block from the Mozart Wohl, a short walk to the Mirabelle Gardens, the Steingasse, etc. One of the bridges to the old city is literally...

Nice view of the cute part of Salzburg but hotel seemed a bit dated. Stains on the carpet and the bed covers prompted us to request a new room. After finding a surprise chalet in the Alps we decided to skip our second night at the Sacher even though it was prepaid in lieu of a nicer place - scolded...

This was our fourth stay at the Hotel Sacher. Since our last visit, 2 years ago, the hotel has has some renovations and modernization. The rooms are still very European feeling, and spotless. I like the way you find some tortes and fruit waiting for you when you first enter your room. From the time you enter the front door,...

The Sacher is a beautiful hotel in the centre of Salzburg, adjacent to the river. The style is very traditional, the staff are excellent and the service is exceptionally good. There is a choice of restaurants, although the breakfast is quite expensive at €34 if you are not big eater! They allow smoking in the bar, which I was very...

Very classy hotel right on the river in the historic district of Salzburg. It is the best located hotel that we found for the price. Interior was beautiful and traditional with polite staff and personable. Great bar for happy hour! Only complaint was that the food in the main dinner restaurant was not the best (it was not horrible either!)...

This hotel is a dream, from the staff to the decor, to the dining areas. The Suite we stayed in, Room 215, is comfortable beyond measure ~ duvets, pillows, bath amenities... not to mention the most scrumptious breakfast on the planet. (We sampled the afternoon menu, and were pleasantly satisfied, too.) The staff made our stay most enjoyable, from prompt...
