I love staying here - excellent location, great staff, great deals available. The only small suggestion (it's tiny) I have to make is that the staff drop the dirndl-wearing on Friday for tourist checkins. In 2017, it's a bit bizarre to be greeted by something that looks like a Benny Hill sketch. That aside, I just love coming back to...

My wife and I stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel for a week over Christmas 2016. The hotel is ideally situated near the centre of the city just a 100m from the Spanish riding school, Royal Palaces, etc. We took the bus from the airport (bus stop right outside the main exit) to Moritzplatz, the hotel was a 10 min walk...

The food in the restaurant was expensive and very poor quality. Tasteless and overpirced. Better to eat out. Far better food and quality avaiable 50m away in Cafe Central, or many other local restaurants. The rooms were not cleaned very well, bathroom shelves were left each day with dust rings

Nicely sized very comfortable room walking distance from many major attractions and immediately adjacent to the subway. Great breakfast, nice facilities, wonderful staff. Spa was nice as well. Only minor detractor: while the hotel is non-smoking, the smokers all gather just outside the front entrance so the lobby tends to smell of cigarettes and you have to run the smoke...

Definitely needed better pillows with more neck support. Otherwise it was a nice hotel, good location, friendly staff and nice finishing touches of chocolates on pillows and free minibar. I'd recommend the hotel.

one of the best hotels in vienna i have ever been. Maybe it would be fine if the service romm is not too early. Some of friends were arguing that a lady service was kncking at her door at eigth o-clock in the mornign.

This was a perfect location for our three day city break. Right in the heart of Vienna in a beautiful neighbourhood with very easy access from the airport (train from the airport and three stops on the ubahn brought us right to the door) and walking distance of the sights. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were always...

The warmth and professionalism of the arrival set the scene for the rest of the time at the Hotel. Spacious, comfortable rooms, excellent staff, good facilities. An excellent location to explore all that Vienna has to offer whilst also very quiet with minimal traffic outside.

On checking in I upgraded to a deluxe room which offered more space. I had a wonderful room and was extremely happy but can say that I saw a room in the other category and this was good too. The check in process was great. Reception were very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic being right in the centre....

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
