It is a bit dated and the room small but surprisingly there was a lift. The room was a bit small but the bathroom must be fairly newly renovated with a big tub. Most important of all, there is no aircon! The window was small and so even with it fully opened there was no circulation. We experienced this before...

The hotel may be is an old one. We stayed for 4 nights. They helped as a lot with an very early check in. We went to the hotel at 9:00 and they found us a room in a moment. And this was very helpful for us because we had a 16 months old baby with us. The breakfast was...

The Hotel Admiral is located in the Museum District and is central to most of the outstanding sights and museums this beautiful city offers. However, the hotel itself is very basic. Our room was a shoulder-wide King corridor with bath, toilet, and closet compartments on one side, hen opening up for two single beds and little else. No air conditioning...

The location was great, very close to the museums and Spanish riding school. Everything was within easy walking distance plus it had free wifi, clean rooms and a decent breakfast. You really can't ask for more for the price. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is excellent, steps away is Mariahilferstrasse, Museums Quartier, Theresien Platz, etc. Breakfast was plentiful, buffet. Heating was great, we had to dampen the valves on the radiators, and outside it was -8. Every day towels were changed. Excellent quality for the price.

We found the room nice and clean and large enough to accommodate myself and my two adult sons. There was a nice little eating area off of the lobby that served a European breakfast which was included in our room rate. One block from the Museum Quarter. Overall, very nice.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days, it was hard to find a good price for a room that would accommodate 3 people. This hotel is located behind museum quarters walking distance from many attractions. No air conditioner but can open windows. Clean rooms but the hotel itself is very old. Breakfast consists of cold cuts (several kinds of...

From the beginning to the end a horrible experience. Staff is extremely unfriendly, no good morning from any of the staff, or any friendliness at all. The hotel is loud, badly isolated, it was hard to sleep at all. The hotel is rather old and does not look clean. At least the room was clean. Outside view of the window...

We had a bit noisy room on the street side, but otherwise cosy and old school-ish. If you don't want to spend a fortune on a one night stay this is the place. And it has breakfast also! Bathroom was clean and the room was basic. Two beds put together, small tv, sofa (a bit strangely located).

Admiral Hotel although located in a dark street behind the MuseumQuartier, is the perfect place for a budget trip. The location is extremely near to Mariahilfer Strasse, a well known shopping street with various restaurants, a 5 minute walk to two underground stations (to the left to Volkstheater and to the right to Museumsquartier), and a 10 minute walk to...

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
