My husband and I stayed here for one night in August 2017. I'm happy to report I was pleasantly surprised by K&T. When we arrived, Maria was there to greet us and give us great tips on where to eat and what to see.
Lovely introduction to Vienna
Great location we walked into city .... about 20 minutes through a
great shopping street with lots of atmosphere then through the museum district
Very friendly informative staff .
Our rooms were extremely clean, comfortable and spacious! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with numerous great recommendations for what to do and where to eat in Vienna. The location is fantastic with direct access to subway, bus and taxi transport.

Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with
its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

You will need to take the U1 metro line at the Sudtiroler Platz station. We bought a 2 day pass on metro tickets, I believe. There are signs in the train station to follow to get you there, or ask an agent. Get out at the Stephansplatz station and then take the U3 towards Ottakring. Exit the metro at Neubaugasse. You should now be on Mariahilfer. This is where it got tricky. The boardinghouse is the street behind Mariahilfer at Chwallagasse 2. The metro exits were confusing because they exited in two different places on the same street! We had a tough time with this, so have gps, or contact the hotel and ask specifically which exit is closest. Once you find it the first time it is much easier the second, but we did goof up again once! The boardinghouse is at the back end of building. Once there, walking to the old city is pretty easy, or you can continue to metro in. We did both. It is a great location and hotel!
