This is one of my favourite hotels ever. It's the welcome that really makes this place. From the welcome drink on arrival to the friendly service at breakfast we were made to feel really at home but without ever being hassled. It's location is perfect, near to the Opera, the Cathedral and the city centre. We walked nearly everywhere we...

This is a good hotel in a great location. They have some rather small, dark, dank rooms, but they will change the room if you ask. Our room was lovely, bright. Breakfast was also good. Right in the walking zone, so it was in the mix of things.

All the previous reviews are correct. There are some major pros and cons. The pros are: the place is centrally located in the tourist area and the price is very fair. I found the breakfest to be adequate but not memorable. Staff does try to be helpful and polite. The cons are: the rooms are VERY SMALL and if you...

First, the pros: it's in a great location. It's right in the first district, a 30 second walk to Karnterstrasse in one direction and the Ringstrasse in the other. The price with breakfast is very reasonable. The front desk clerk at check-in is very sweet. The woman that serves breakfast is also very sweet and eager to please. The breakfast...

We booked our stay at this hotel because of the location, and after researching other area hotels which, due to the Euro 2008 soccer matches, were 3-4 times the price. We were fearful that the room might be uncomfortably small and we were not disappointed. A postage stamp is larger than these rooms and the bathroom. The bathroom is so...

We booked this hotel via the internet upon the recommendation of the Rick Steve's Guidebook. While it may be conveniently located, the place is impossible. It is run by a woman who is rigid, uncooperative and money hungry. My friend, who is asthmatic was put in a tiny dark cell which they called Room 14 (about 6' X 8'), with...

I loved this hotel. The service was wonderful. I can't remember the lady's name at the from desk, but she was awesome! She made us feel so at home. She would talk to us every time we came in to make sure we had a nice time. This hotel cannot be in a better location. It is near everything and...

My husband and I visited Vienna for the Christmas Markets this year and could not have picked a better hotel. The staff was friendly and full of good advice, the rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was large and delicious, and the location was great.

The location of this hotel is absolutely the best - convenient to museums, opera, beautiful churches, shopping, restaurants. The room and bathroom was very small, but kept clean and charmingly European! The staff was friendly, helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good. The price was a little high in early October, but best location comes at a price.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days in June and really enjoyed my accommodations. I saw many different faces in my stay and all of them were friendly and helpful... from the front desk, to the dining room staff to the maids. Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
