In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Very beautiful property. The list of past guests is extremely impressive. There is elegance everywhere one looks, and we enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast again was a non-experience, like all SPG hotels that we visited in Europe this trip. In fact, there was a marked

Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff on all fronts. The general atmosphere was unstuffy and welcoming. The room was very nice. Don't hesitate to take a room facing the Kärntner Ring, the double glazing keeps the noise out. The buffet breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.

Is it better to take an Uber to the hotel rather than a taxi to/from train station?
It’s easy to taxi but you might want to consider contacting the hotel before by email to arrange for a hotel Mercedes pick up. The price is about the same as a taxi, very reasonable, and you will receive excellent service with your luggage and help with check-in at the hotel.

There is no formal dress code for breakfast or dinner but it is always nice if people dress up just a little. It goes with the level of class.

They have both hair dryer and an iron. This is a great hotel and can get you anything you might need during your stay.
