Grand Hotel's location is excellent - walking distance to the opera house, Stephanplatz, Vienna's main square, museums (including the Kunsthistorisches Museum), St. Stephen's Cathedral and countless other attractions. The lobby is stately and beautiful (and quite ornate). The lobby bar had live piano music with good bourbons and wines by the glass. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, but...

Well, it is an impressive hotel with quite some facilities and very friendly and efficient staff and service, so we were not completely unsatisfied at all but several things made that we consider that it is not at all worth its price: - The entrance turning door smells very strong to tobacco, every time in a striking way. - When...

The location is fantastic. The hotel is grand although the room was a bit shabby. The shower leaked water on the floor despite many adjustments to the curtain. The bath was deep and nice but the hand held dripped constantly. The "but" is that i reserved a non-smoking room and the room they gave me was clearly a smoking room....

It's very hard to find any complaint. Staff is totally professional. Breakfast worth every cent. Kavelier bar has enormous choice of alcoholic drinks. Helpful receptionists and consigliere. Actually, it was my third time there and I'm not looking for better hotel in Wien.

The property overall is good. The location, decor, rooms(tv very small in size), bathrooms etc. The turn off is breakfast, which is very expensive and not at all worth it. You can walk out of the hotel for a few breakfast options. The lobby bar has a limited menu.

When in Vienna I come here most of my stay as I feel pampered. The rooms are nice, well light and perfectly connected to wifi. It's true it's a bit old style, but there is nothing out of place. The concierge is efficient and friendly. The breakfast is great, maybe a bit to small the room. I was in room...

We spent four night in the Grand Hotel and truely enjoyed it. It is one of those places that breathe history. You enter a large lobby where you obviously find the reception area, a large open space in the middle and to the right a lounge area where drinks and light snacks are served. Our 5th Floor-room was very spacious...

Our Irish friends had recommended that we have lunch in the Grand Hotel in the course of a recent visit to Wien. It was a super experience - and no too expensive too. We were late arrivals off the street. We were on the 1st floor and this is a location where one could really relax. Service was excellent and...

We began here our trip around Eastern Europe and Russia in january 2016. I can assure that the localization over the top of this hotel at the Ring can't be beaten. It is situated just beside the karntner strasse ( that means nice restaurants, cafes and shops) and quite near from Saint Stephen Catedral. Eventhough it was a quite cold...

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
