The room is, as you expect Grand. It is on of the older style places. Everything is nice and solid. The rooms are extremely quiet and the air con was excellent. Service was very good. The food was good and surprisingly pretty reasonable in price. It is not high end. Bar area downstairs is a little small. Conference facilities were...

I've been to this hotel before and I like it. And it is expensive. This time, however, I was surprised by a one-sided late charge to my credit card on alledged minibar expenses. They just applied the charge to my credit card without prior communication to confirm it was my consumption. Well, it wasn't. They keep your credit card details...

Avoid eating there - the service was extremely slow today. It took 20 minutes for my order to be taken and the food took 40 minutes to arrive. The drinks order was wrong. This was just lunch. The waiter didn't seem to care. I was tempted to walk out.

Close proximity to Opera House, good service, typical 5 star service. Location is very central and the rooms are nice and well decorated. The restaurants are good with the coffee shop having an outdoor café area which was good for the summer and watching the activity go by.

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
