Such a beautiful hotel, from the moment you arrive and you are welcomed by the concierges to the moment you leave , you feel pampered and nothing is too much trouble. This very plush hotel manages to be cosy despite the formality. Look forward to going back.

Such a great all round experience at this Vienna institution. From the moment you step into the modest entrance you feel at home and spoilt. Very helpful and friendly staff, great room with view and superb amenities.

I have been here at the Sacher hotel many many times and have always enjoyed. This time I was here with special friends for a special evening! I really really enjoy the famous Sacher Torte here at the hotel café!! Is world-famous and it is special to have it here at the original hotel here in Vienna! It is a...

Stayed here last week. What is there to say? Everything is just perfect. The location is wonderful - everything within walking distance. The room and the entire hotel was luxurious and beautiful. Very good housekeeping. The food and service was excellent. Concierge extremely helpful. If you can afford it, this is the only place to stay in Vienna.

I have mixed feelings about this stay at the Sacher. It is one of my favorite hotels because it combines luxury and hominess, something few of the best hotels seem to do. Also, I have not stayed there since the renovations, which are wonderful. However the service is uneven. One concierge was less than helpful and had a smug attitude....

I can see why this hotel is the number one hotel in Vienna. It's in the perfect location across the street from the opera and the historical section of Vienna. It's decor can only be described as opulent. It's gorgeous. The service is outstanding. The hotel arranged for us to have a private guide for 2 days and the guide...

The Best sacher cake,we ever had. The cake is not as dry as usually in other places. Very tasty. More expensive than in other cafes, but according to the quality it is ok. If you travel to capital of Austria, Wienna, you have to go there. :-)

We stayed here as my wife gave a talk at TU Wien and spent the weekend on holiday. Great service, nice rooms, lovely breakfast (ask for eggs if you want some) layout. Have used the small space well. The AC worked well, which we needed to sleep after the hot days. Definitely recommend this place, well worth the stay.

This is an elegant and charming old hotel that provides old fashioned service and a luxury seldom found these days. Our room was very large, elegant and beautifully furnished on the seventh floor with twin balconies that looked out over the opera and the Vienna skyline. The staff were friendly and I was very impressed with the concierge and the...

The hotel is located in the heart of Vienna, nearby The Opera. It's a one of the most beautiful hotels in Vienna. It's very elegant and comfy. The rooms are very nice decorated. Room service is excellent. Breakfast is very good and diversified. The staff is welcoming and helpful; even if the check in was at 14 p.m., I had...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
