It is a lovely hotel, very well located in Vienna's famous "ring". Large rooms with high ceilings. The illumination in the room is excellent (very important, because most hotels tend to save with lighting, and frequently hotel rooms are dark). The public areas are very elegant - carpeted hallways, ornate wooden paneling and more. However, the rooms look outdated and...

Location is good, not in the center of Vienna, but very close the old town, near the tram station(just some steps), restaurants, cafes, old town.... The staff is helpful. In the first sight the hotel seems great, but its only because of lobby. In the rooms and in lobby area different interiors. The rooms is very old fashioned, and furniture...

Location is superb to old town, tram station, restaurants, cafes etc. Entrance is beatiful, staff is helpful and friendly, but the room itself was a dissapointment. Small, with odd furniture and colour choises. Like the room and lobby would be from different interior.

I choose this hotel for the location/price ration, and hoped for the best as it is a five stars property. I was unfortunately wrong. The room is one of the worst, most unconfortable and for sure the ugliest five stars room I've stayed into, despite booking a superior one. I've changed the one they gave me at check in with...

We had a wonderful and unique experience in the hotel. First of all- the amazing staff! They helped us with every question and problem we presented and gave us the best solution (especially Matea). Cristoph welcomed us lovely and kindly. The breakfast was diverted and fresh- not like a regular European hotel. Thanks for everything- we will come back!

Stayed here for 3 nights in February. Exceedingly well postioned for investigating the Ringstrasse and its attendant key 'must visit' features. Also excellent links to the rest of Vienna by Tram, Bus or uBahn which are only yards from the hotel entrance. Comfortable large, if rather plain, bedrooms and en-suites. Free wi-fi worked fine. Bar prices quite reasonable for a...

This is an elegant hotel at Ringstrasse, nearby Vienna's University and Town Hall. The location is excellent since you can reach Stephansplatz in almost 10 minutes walk! Burgtheater and Landtmann caffee is right opposite the hotel. The staff at the reception desk as well as the concierge are really kind and helpful! The rooms are quite cozy but need renovation...

A nice and known Hotel at the heart of Vienna. Under ground is at the door and just minutes away walk from the beautiful walking street and shopping districts of the town. Hotel de France is fairly close to the historical buildings and most important of all the World class Opera House of Vienna is a few blocks away accessible...

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
