In a quiet street a few blocks walking distance from the Ring, this hotel offers good value, a pizzeria on the corner ('Riva'), the Mexican Cultural Institute, Votiv Church, Votiv Cinema and main university in a radius of 10 minutes.

Hotel is disgustingly dirty, blood stained sheets and hair in the bed. Arrived late at night so slept on towels, told reception in the morning who instead of changing the sheets simply removed the towel and remade the bed!!! So disgusting paid for 2 nights left after only 1 to find somewhere else, hotel refused to give a refund for...

Extremely disapointed. On arrival we found the reception to be on the second floor accessed by stairs. Rooms have run down feeling, thin curtains and carpets. Small portable television in the room. Coridoors are dark.

This hotel is relatively well located, but it could really do with a revamp. The carpet in our room was dirty and lifting, the beds and linen were not great, there was no coffee station in the rooms and no access to coffee after breakfast and breakfast was very average, if you are headed to Vienna maybe see if there...

Had a couple of nights staying at this central Vienna hotel. It is easy to access on tram route D from Haupt Bahnhof. There are many bars and restaurants nearby for those who like to try a variety of food etc.

A well located HOTEL . UNFORTUNATELY the reviews seem rather harsh on the establishment. Polite reception and helpful. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.The hanging lampshade are too low and shower did not have hot and cold mixer. The showers could get very hot and difficult to adjust instantly.

Dirty,Noisy, terrible food,I am covered in what look like flea bites, bought drinks from reception and asked for glasses to be told to use the glasses in the bathroom, we did and they were never washed and put back in the bathroom, bed linen stained and not changed for the six days we were there. Highly recomended for budget stay in Vienna! Great location! The staff very friendly, rooms are clean! Will stay there for sure in future! The breakfast was simple but ok-for those who complains- just go to next street to Kempinsky!

We booked through a travel agency and must admit we were silly enough to not look at trip advisor before hand. We didn't even stay at the hotel. After walking into our room, I smelled a foul odour and inspection of the bathroom indicates it is rarely cleaned. We decided then to find another hotel. We are not fussy ,...

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
