Well first of all on arriving to Vienna i was really pleased as we arrived very early after an 8 hour coach journey and our hotel room was ready at 6 am so we could go and have a sleep before exploring the City. First day we got lost and explored by accident the muslim community on the outside suberb!...

Well, i stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend for 4 nights. Room was nice, clean and tidy. We had a dinner in hotel's restaurant 3 nights ago and both of us ended having upset stomach and other following problems...we informed the reception about our problem and just to say- we NEVER asked for any kind of compensation or money...

Dear Boris J, First of all we are very sorry that you could not fully enjoy your stay and regret this unpleasant experience. Despite being very happy with the assigned room as well as the cleanliness of the building, unfortunately you get an upset stomach during your stay in Vienna. After you reported your disease to our reception team, the...

We enjoyed a few nights here at the beginning of December for a trip to the Viennese Christmas Markets. It is well located for the tourist buses, boats, or the Hop-on Hop-off Vienna Sightseeing tour that we opted for, and the staff could not have been more helpful in setting us off in the right direction with map in hand....

My wife and I stayed for six days over Christmas. The location is excellent with just a short stroll over the bridge into the city centre. The Hotel itself is traditional and elegant and was very popular over Christmas. We found the Staff throughout the Hotel friendly and helpful and always offered advice with a smile. Absolutely loved staying here, I stayed four nights over Christmas. A traditional style, grand hotel, situated in a great location - not in an over-run tourist precinct, being in the second district, but just steps from the city centre, popular attractions & public transport. Can't fault how the room was appointed, very clean & more than adequate, especially given the...

Staying here is like staying at the Hotel Budapest in Wes Anderson's film. Mind you, not the decaying current Hotel Budapest, but the one from the glorious earlier days. The rooms are quite comfortable, the bathroom is large and has a tub. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious, plus the restaurant is very nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly....

This is an old school hotel. It truly depends on your taste, but walking in there is like walking through a time machine around a 100 years back (this not withstanding, you will be able to go on line everywhere in the hotel). I stayed here for three nights. The style of the hotel is a classical European decor. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
