Went to Vienna for the weekend and stayed here. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Staff was very friendly they even offer a postal service for 1 Euro I think it was. We asked for some extra pillows and were nice to provide them to us. Location is around 15-20 minutes from the opera house and...

"Home from home". Just like so many other Holiday Inns - that's why I like it. You know what you are going to get. Location is reasonable - 20+ minute walk to Opera and there are afew places to eat locally.

We stayed here for the Vienna Officer's Ball Jan 2014. It was really nice. The room was large with a living room/bedroom and plenty of room for the kids. The breakfast was fantastic and the internet was free which was really nice. It was about a 5 min walk to the Metro station but it was so easy to use....

very clean environment, friendly staffs, great breakfast buffet, spacious room (more than we expected in Europe) everything makes my family feel comfortable and satisfactory during stay. Especially, Ms. Fr Grefer, who was in the reception area helped us a lot by answering many questions we had since it was our first time in Vienna. Even when I was sick, she...

Lovely hotel, really helpful staff, spotlessly clean and a great breakfast buffet. Well located for city centre and plenty of restaurants nearby. The only downside was the internet speed and connectivity which was very slow.

A strange layout, inadequate management, willing but mostly untrained personnel. It starts with parking-the hotel is centrally located (a plus), but the parking spaces, including the garage, are sparse. Then comes the layout, with a beautiful garden as a consolation for the countless mini stairs, just to reach the reception, not to mention some rooms that are not accessible by...

Well located just five minutes away from metro, this is a nice city hotel. The rooms are somewhat smaller, however the bathroom has a full bathtub. Breakfast is great, large variety of both hot and cold options. Parking may be scarce at peak times, you´ll be then left to a third-party parking house some three blocks away. Weekend rates may...

We visited Vienna for four days during the 2013 Christmas holiday season. We got a family room for four people. We expected two beds, but we got three, each big enough for two people. The room was partitioned, and it had two TVs, a desk, refrigerator, etc. The sheets and towels were changed daily, and the room and bathroom were...

We emailed the hotel the day prior to our arrival and inquired about an upgrade. Based on our Platinum status we were advised an upgrade had been assigned. Check in was posted as 2:00 PM and we arrived at 2:30 PM. Unfortunately, our room was not available and we decided to wait in the lounge area. At 3:00 PM the...

This hotel deserves a recommendation. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent, as shown in the pictures of the hotel. The staff is friendly, willing to give you information about the city, book a restaurant, etc.. If you like market place be sure to visit Naschmarkt which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
