Hotel is just around the corner from the Stephansplatz metro. The breakfast room looks out at the Cathedral! The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. Perfect amount of space for a work trip - nice comfy twin bed and huge bathroom with shower and super nice tub.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. Very central in the old town, and ideal for travel to see the sights. The staff were friendly and most helpful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good , with a fine view of the Cathedral. All in all a lovely hotel - we would recommend it.

The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The site unbeatable (a few feet from St Stephen's cathedral in the very centre of Vienna). The staff are friendly and helpful. Sumptuous buffet breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Am Stephansplatz. The room was a generous size, with a king-sized bed and a little table and two chairs. The bathroom was also nicely-sized. We had a room that faced the cathedral. The hotel's location is ideal -- right in the center of the old city and within walking distance of the...

Can't say enough good things. Great location. Outstanding breakfast, even by European standards. Very fair pricing. They gave us a free room upgrade, which was unexpected and very appreciated. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Vienna.

Easy to find, as right opposite St. Stephans Cathedral in the square. We took the airport bus to the city and it is just a few minutes walk. On our return journey we took the tube and then the Cat Express train which runs every 16 minutes to the Airport. The tube station is just a few steps from the...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
