Very clean and proper, no nonsense management, very friendly, Rooms are large enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You are able to get tickets to the transportation system right at the counter.
Having air conditioning in both the living room and bedroom is a big plus in the summer.
The kitchette is passable for breakfast and there are 2 markets a half block away. The front desk staff are helpful. We rented a car and the indoor...More
We have just returned from a four day break in Vienna and stayed at this hotel. Its location is very convenient, 5 mins walk from Rathaus U-bahn and about 10 mins walk from the Museums Quarter. The breakfast was varied and substantial and the staff...More
Comfortable and great located hotel. A bit poor mini-kitchen equipment but we found a way to pass some small gaps.
Most big attractions in 15-20 min by foot. Calm and safe district.
I would recommend for everybody.
We had a large room - more of a suite, really, with a separate lounge area - which was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, with the Rathaus u-bahn station just down the road - although one could probably walk into the city...More

The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of
overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
