It's very near from Vienna main train station. The hotel is quite old fashioned but it's nice and clean. I booked for triple room, the single bed in the triple room is actually the sofa. And there is no drinking water bottle in the room.

Just spent a couple of nights at the Prinz Eugen and found the hotel the perfect place for what we were looking for. As we were only in Vienna for 48 hours or so, we knew we wouldn't be spending too much time at the hotel as we wanted to do a lot of sightseeing, so we didn't want to... More

Stayed here for 3 nights . The room was a little old fashioned but that did not detract from the pleasant staff, comfortable beds and cleanliness of the hotel. Location is a real plus. Within a 10 min. walk you can reach the main line station, the D tram (which runs you into central Vienna in about 10 mins.) Belvedere... More

Stayed three nights on city-break. Hotel is very close to main rail station and only about 100m from nearest underground station, then only three stops from Stephansplatz. It is also in walking distance from Belvedere. There are shops etc in the street where the underground is. Hotel itself is old and traditional in style and décor, showing a bit of... More

We spent 3 nights here in rooms 410 and 310 and enjoyed our stay. Whilst the hotel is rather dated the rooms were very clean and comfortable and had good bathrooms with bath and powerful shower and unlimited very hot water. The location was very convenient for city centre which was walkable in around 15/20 minutes or plenty of buses,... More

I know that the star rating system is different in Europe to the UK, but still do not feel this is one. The room was small and no tea or coffee making facilities, the room was hot and the air con not working. When we asked at reception ,we were told the bar served coffee, but did not open until 6pm,this is... More

Located in close proximity to the Hauptbahnhof and the U, trams and buses. Makes it very easy to get anywhere in Vienna. The Hauptbahnhof has shops and their are several good restaurants close to the Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made sure we received a map and info on concerts. They also let us know they were happy... More

It is on a busy road: it has quite an elegant entrance foyer and reception. It has seen better days. But it is very convenient for the new hauptbahnhof, it is well priced and if you are lucky to get a room over the gardens at the back you will not hear the traffic at all. In fact I heard... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighbourhood Profile
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighbourhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.

“If you have a problem sleeping with road noise, you might not want to choose a standard room, since they face the road. However, there are heavily insulated windows to block the noise. I have no idea if it was noisy, since I can sleep through an air raid.”
