We picked this hotel for the relation between price and location. We booked in advance 2 rooms with breakfast included. We got a good deal paying in advance. The Hotel is crossing the Stadpark, with a tram station outside and few steps to the metro station. You can walk easily to most all the attractions in the old town. The...

Fantastic location, close to several attractions, making it easy to travel around a beautiful city. Rooms were large, albeit slightly dated (think we had a club room), and bathroom nice. Overall highly recommended

I stayed here one night on a business trip. I really only slept here so I didn't experience the hotel for very long. My review is based on two things. 1. I purchased a liter of water and was charged 10 Euro... $14 USD! WOW. 2. I called to have wake up call at 4:00AM. It never happened. My co-worker...

Although this Marriott is a little long in the tooth, especially compared to other top Vienna hotels, several conveniences make it a great place to stay. These include the wonderful lounge at the top, location close to major attractions, and fantastic staff! We had some problems with noise and unruly guests, which were promptly handled. In fact, the manager upgraded...

Just came back from visiting Vienna for the first time. I selected this hotel because of my Marriott Platinum status. As another reviewer said, the rooms (including the bathroom) are very spacious, especially when compared to the smaller European room standards. The staff are all very friendly and helped us out by upgrading/moving us to a quieter room. The Executive...

Just home from Vienna after another wonderful holiday. We stayed in this hotel for the 6th time so it goes without saying we love the place! We had a beautiful room with tea and coffee making facilities, and what can I say about the beds except we had the best sleep every night after very busy days. The bed linen...

This hotel was great value and I have now stayed here a few times. It's located close to all areas and has easy access to transport links. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The bar is spacious and open late should you want a night cap. One of the better Marriotts....

Very nice lobby, specious rooms and nice bathrooms compared to hotels in Europe. It's city center from it you can go for everywhere, and the city park is just opposite the entrance of the hotel. Bike rental is just there as well. Room service food was Nicely done and so as breakfast was rich, many cereals, cocked meats, omelette And...

Stayed at Vienna Marriot Hotel for 4 days, begining of September. Just a Hotel, nothing special. Lived in a twin room. It has all you need for a room: good quality of bed, pillows, bathroom with shampoo, gel and body creme. There was no set with cotton pads and ear sticks, I also needed sewing kit - but there wasn't...

We stayed at the Marriott Vienna for three nights in August for a sightseeing vacation. I am a platinum member and reserved the room with points. We had a great stay and received the type of service that we have come to expect from Marriott. The location is great – about 20 minutes from the airport and walking distance to...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
