The hotel is near to the main shopping area, MARIA HILFER STRASSE and also not too far from the main museums, winter palace, the opera, etc. In case you do not want to walk, there is a tram station across the hotel. As for the hotel itself: renovated, clean but a bit dull..Certainly not modern. I think they should change...

This low brow, out of the way, filled to capacity, and on a very busy street hotel is used by Grand Circle Travel on Eastern Europe tours. Even the internet has to be renewed EVERY day. Everything from room temperature to the lack of a simple ice bucket make this a substandard hotel. Choose a different tour company and definitely...

This was one of the most pleasant stays. Staff was very friendly and professional. I traveled with family and we booked executive room. Somehow it was not available and we got free drink and free upgrade to junior suite. Hotel has parking which is payable. It has free wireless internet. Breakfast was costly but excellent. Food was delicious. Lunch in...

The rooms are nice and clean..... the train station is very nearby so u easily connect to the U3 and U6 line..... the buffet breakfast is excellent.... the rooms facing the street get direct sunlight the whole day so it gets a little hot in summers but gets comfortable if you open the window..... tv is useless as CNN is...

What a terrible hotel; it spoiled my stay in Vienna. The hotel is situated at one of the main communication tracks, the traffic never stops. The rooms on lower floors overlooking the street are thus so noisy, that is it impossible to sleep. Moreover, in the hotel everything depends on human factor. If you happen to find a helpful staff...

I stayed in this hotel for one night only but utterly enjoyed the experience. A very comfortable and convenient hotel with friendly staff. I had a spacious room with a safe deposit box, a big bathroom with a bathtub, a power shower, a hairdryer and basic toiletries. There is a gym and free internet on the first floor. The mini...

I really enjoyed my stay at Arcotel Wimberger. The staff is really kind and helpful. Our rooms (executive) were really nice (not very big, though) and pretty comfortable. The Spa is lovely and breakfast at the hotel restaurant is amazing. I'll definitely go back to this hotel next time I am in Vienna.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for work. Location is good and close to public transport but not many nice options to eat around the hotel. The hotel is overpriced, much older than it looks on the website, old depressing rooms with not many facilities, non smoking room was smelling cigarettes. Did not feel very safe either and was...

Stayed here for one night. Location is good: Near Train-Station Westbahnhof and Tram-Station. Room was ok but nothing special: Thick carpets, wooden furnitures, marble floors, a bit old-fashioned. Otherwise clean room and bath. Breakfast was good and sufficient. I would stay here again - but at a reduced rate.

This hotel was not what I expected at all. When we arrived to our room it smelled musty and old and the bed was hard as a rock, also, the pillows were a bag of sponge pieces trying to pass as pillows. Both my wife and I never got a good nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was ok, just ok...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
