Nice modern bathroom, pleasant layout - loved the courtyard garden.
Yes, friendly and welcoming, close to metro. Our room was pretty spacious. Would go back anytime, and have recommended to everyone we know who is going to Vienna.
The hotel is good and nicely decorated, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is right next to a metro stop, although the area isn't that interesting or great it didn't bother us as we were elsewhere most days, you can easily get...More
The hotel is described as traditional Viennese but is more like tired and shabby and in great need of an update.
On arrival at the hotel we were met by a growling dog at reception with a proprietor who was just as unwelcoming. The room...More
We were booked as a family into this hotel as a part of a package holiday. We were disappointed to be given two double rooms on separate floors, room 207 and 307.
Rooms were quite large. Room 207 had a pedestal fan and 307 had...More

There is the hotel's garage area which you can use for ~15 euros/day. They share the garage and in fact have only about 8 spots available there, so it may fill up. There are also a few free spots on the street just north of the hotel building. If those are full and you don't want to pay, you can also park anywhere in the neighborhood for the night free. There are signs that say when you can park there without a permit (if my memory serves me, 7pm-8am). You will need to wake up early in the morning to move your car to another space if you park in one of these spots. The hotel staff are very helpful in explaining where you can and cannot park.

We took the train when we stayed at Altwinerhof and you have to use the light rail to transfer. The train station is pretty far away from the hotel, but with the light rail across the street from the hotel, it would be pretty easy to arrive by train, hop on the light rail to the Gumpendorfer Strasse and walk across the street to the hotel.
Having the light rail across the way made staying at this hotel very easy.
