Stayed at this hotel last year and have been meaning to write a review. Rooms are comfortable and I had a good nights sleep even though my room overlooked the main road. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff are lovely and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

We stay for 3 days and we liked very much. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast is very good. Is a familiar hotel and like they say, is a 3 stars hotel, with a 4 stars service and a 5 stars charm (or something like that). And we really felt at home. We were in a thematic room...

Even though I saw online that it was a nice place. I didn't realize how nice till I got there. I found it interesting how you leave the key at the lobby when you leave the hotel. The room was very nice and it included everything I needed for the night and was very comfortable.

This hotel is so amazing. My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel during a recent trip to Vienna. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. We had the upgraded room with the nespresso included. The hotel staff smile, are friendly, speak great English, will help if you need directions or ideas. We asked a lot of questions and...

Looking to the pictures on trip advisor I thought the place was good, but it was ok. I took a single room, which was tiny, by the way, with a single bed. The pros are: good shower (no bathtub), good heater, no carpet. Tram station just in front of the hotel (goes to Schotentor) and subway station just two blocks...

Definitely value for money here. Not particularly close to the city centre but there's a U-bahn station <5 mins walk away, and a tram stop just across the street, so it's very easy to go back and forth on public transport. Plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby too. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, no complaints...

The hotel was great. We had two rooms at the hotel and they were both comfortable and spotless. The check in/out process was fast and convenient. The hotel staff was fantastic, very friendly, spoke English, very helpful and they even remembered how I like my tea. The hotel was conveniently located next to a tram stop and a metro stop....

Dear Maveric, First, I am sorry, that obviously something went wrong here... this is not our usual standard, as our hotel is very popular among travellers and usually very very clean, not to say above average and extremely clean. In this case, we definitely did not live up to our high standards. Just 2 comments: we have parking spaces just...

Very clean, it is what it says. Value for money! Breakfast is rich with lots of choices. Front desk is very helpful. Tram station is just outside the door and it is a 5 minute ride to the city center! It was a good choice for us and we would choose it again when we come back!

Thank Anastasis B

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our family run establishment is only 5 minutes away from the Ringstrasse and lies directly on the metro line U6. The hotel is famous first of all for its excellent service and very rich hot and cold breakfast. The General Hospital and numerous private hospitals, the Viennese Brunnen and Yppen street markets, the Freud museum, Volksoper, Votivchurch, City hall or Palace Gschwandner are also in the walking distance. Because of a good location near the metro line U6 all the places of interest - from Grinzing to Schonbrunn - are easy to reach. The rooms are equipped with minibar, hair dryer, writing case, alarm clock, WiFi, sat-TV, radio, soundproof windows, phone... Classical live music on Sunday breakfast, leafy courtyard, 24 hours open bar with Viennese wines, private SPA or a Nespresso machine in your room are only few of the many extra services we offer, which explain our slogan "3 stars hotel with 4 stars service and 5 stars charm". Our hotel was built in 1901 as a wedding gift and offers for more than 111 years lived hospitality and Viennese tradition, also marked in the successful architectural symbiosis of Art Nouveau with modern elements. ... more   less
