The Intercityhotel of Vienna is remarkably situated near Westbahnof. The romms are clean and comfortable, well furnished but a bit to expensive for what it is. The prices are more for a 4 stars hotels than for a 3 strars one. By the way, the breakfast is served in a room to small to receive all the hotel guests and...

Extremely overpriced for the room quality. Broken bottles littered the patio outside my room, half the electronics in the room didn't work or had been stolen, bed not comfortable, shower tiny (even by European standards. Front desk staff unhelpful, basically kids. Only a late arrival/early departure kept me from changing hotels on the spot. Save your money.

My partner and I spent two nights at the Intercity Vienna back in July and had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay there. We booked the hotel because of it's proximity to the Westbahnhof as well as the reasonable price of £67 a night (one of the better options for a good quality 3* hotel in Vienna). Our stay in...

I have stayed here for four days during my vacation in July and loved it. Excellent Location and my room were clean and comfortable. It has everything I need including a safe for my valuables. The best thing is that I have got a free transportation card during my stay to use in Vienna for all buses and underground. Definitely...

I stayed at the intercity hotel in Vienna in August 2008. I loved it. The Staff are very friendly and the free travel voucher is great. It is best to check a few internet sites to see the best offer before booking. There own website will match any offer. Pros: 1. Very near West Bahnhoff – so really easy to...

We've stayed in this hotel for 3 days in March 2008. We had a pleasant stay. Room was clean, although slightly small, bathroom was excellent, double bed was fabulous and due to large windows and the upper floor we were given, we had a nice view of Mariehilfer Strasse. Personnel were very friendly and the transport pass for the entire...

Stayed there 2 weeks ago when it was raining the whole week. The location of the hotel is excellent, think is about 200metres from the train station and few stops to the centre (Stephensdom). Breakfast is very good and the service staff is very attentive. Have tried to ask the front desk for a room facing a courtyard upon arrival...

I had a great time at this hotel. Staff made special arrangements for a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday and a bottle of champagne (both ordered by friends from overseas to surprise me). The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and catered to tastes from all over the world! Staff was extremely nice and helpful! The location is excellent, right...

A few months before coming to Vienna I spent a couple of nights in another of the hotels of the Intercity chain in Hamburg, Germany. I can confirm that the quality of this franchise is consistent (at least in my sample of two hotels). Both hotels were in modern buildings in a central location near the railway station, with plenty...

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
