Classy boutique hotel in a perfect location tucked away from the traffic but a short walk to St. Stephens. My daughter and I had a comfortable room with two twin beds, but also had a separate sitting/desk area that could be closed off to provide privacy if one of us wanted to stay up later or woke early. The front...

Highly recommended. This is a perfectly situated hotel for exploring by foot the magnificent, elegant area in and around the Ring, five minutes from the cathedral, but equally convenient for the super-efficient tram and underground system. The staff are cordial, helpful, informative and multi-lingual, the hotel itself clean, well-appointed and tucked away in a quiet alleyway. Though late-night revellers could...

How sad that we live so far away from Vienna - a beautiful city and no better place to stay than Hotel Austria!! From initial check-in to check-out it was a pleasure to be at this hotel. The front desk staff are extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast has a huge selection, eggs, toast,...

I took the advice of Tripadvisor's reviewers and made a reservation at the Hotel Austria, and my stay was basically perfect. I booked a single room with separate toilet and bathroom (across the hallway, but for my own use). My room was very good, with all the amenities of any standard hotel, and it was perfectly clean. My only complaint...

I just finished a three-night stay at this hotel and found it to be an excellent budget hotel. I booked two rooms here; one for myself and one for my mother. The rooms did not have air conditioning, which is clearly stated in their website. Our rooms were on the second floor and overlooked a small, fairly quiet ally. There...

Hotel was splendid, not very big, calm and clean. Location is fine, in the historical center of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from Saint Stephan Cathedral. Shops, museums and all facilities for us as tourists were comfortable to get. So, the room was in classical design, very clean and spacious, with free WiFi and cable TV, the bathroom...

We arrived in Vienna on the overnight sleeper from Zurich and by the time we got to the hotel it was around 9am. Obviously we couldn't check in but the clerk was excellent, preparing all the documentation for later and allowing us to stash our luggage away. After breakfast and a whistle stop bus tour of Vienna we returned at...

First the positives: great location, good size room, decent breakfast, good value for the money. However two main drawbacks. First no air conditioning even though it was 90degrees F, and we were told those temperatures are not uncommon for a Viennese summer. We would definitely avoid this place in the summer. We had a bad service experience when we were...

Our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) recently stayed for 4 nights in a comfort quad room. Since it's August we decided to splurge on air conditioning. It was extra, but definitely worth it because it was very hot. The room also had a floor fan, which helped move the air. Our room (#404) was on the top...

Hotel Austria is a great hotel! It is right by the subway (1 block), within easy walking distance to St. Stephans Cathedral, the major museums and Hofburg Palace. The hotel is located down a short dead end alley which makes for a quiet, off the beaten path location. Right around the corner though is a bustling area with shops and...
