I stayed here very happily ten years ago and booked this return visit. It's a quiet spot in a busy neighborhood, near the Opera House, the Albertina, and other spots. A bit hard to find on the map--and even to find you way back to...More
Was there one night only in I guess the only single room; can totally recommend the place. It's perfectly situated in the 1st district, close to Stephansdom, Opera, ja well actually every major Vienna historical building. Ideally if you are on a city trip.
As others have said, the location is great, and the hotel rooms are nice. however it is pretty noisy. As is true of the streets in any big city - the street below our window is 'a concrete canyon' and sound carries very well. Unfortunately...More
Abutting the Neuer Markt in the Old city centre of Vienna, Pension Aviano is peaceful, family-run & an excellent value for money. All of its 17 rooms are beautiful & comfortable – the Sisi suite where we stayed, is exceptionally plush with a flowery carpet...More

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The
Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
