I have stayed here years. It is across from the post office and very close to Stefansplatz, the cathedral. Great location and probably the least expensive hotel in that area. All of the shopping in there and the historic sites.

After my 4th visit to Hotel Post, I have to report that the reception area staff, including porter, were not as helpful as they used to be. Two men in particular seemed to have a real attitude that indicated to me that they weren't in a satisfying job. The breakfast room was incredibly crowded and uncomfortable from about 8 -...

The hotel staff were very rude, argumentative. Refused to assist us in calling our ride to airport. Rooms - ok nice size, clean Good location Breakfast - fine. But the attitude of the staff is So bad that I cannot recommend this to anyone

We rolled into Vienna rather late in the evening without a place to stay. Stopped at an expensive hotel in the city center and asked for advice and the Hotel Post was recommended. The staff at the Post was exceptionally helpful. Parking was in a garage across the street but staff walked us in and out. We took a room...

Just like real estate, this hotels claim to fame would be its location. Walking distance to many attractions and close to the U Bahn. Rooms small but clean, little noise from the street in room 322, chambermaids are very very good! Laundry prices are a bit high but service is quick and efficient. Breakfast was spotty, lots of empty containers...

This hotel is well situated in the central part of the city in walking distance from nearly everything. The nearest subway (U-bahn) station is only 100 m away. We stayed there for five nights. Our room was fairly big and clean with ok bathroom. No noise from the street. The staff was somewhat formal, with only one night portier smiling,...

The hotel is very well located, you can visit most of touristic places walking. But the price, considering the hotel conditions, is kind of expensive. We chose individual rooms and they were extremely small and furniture was very old. Good point is the cleanliness. Breakfast not varied.

The hotel is in a great spot - close to the U-Bahn stations, a quick walk to the river and plenty of restaurants and bars. The reception area looks very new, however the appearance doesn't carry through to the rooms. The colour scheme is out of whack with the rest of the building. Both are acceptable, but they don't match!...

Having never been to Vienna before, our first impression of the Hotel Post was not encouraging. It is very dated and drab, and the reception, restaurant and bar areas had less appeal than a railway buffet. Apart from breakfast we did not use them. Our room, on the first floor, was spacious and clean, with a safe and small 'fridge,...

Great service and Great location make me love this city more and more. The hotel itself maybe is not really new but it is clean and comfortable. Just next to a lot of nice restaurants and also public transportation.
