We stayed in the Freud Apartment for four nights and we found it to be perfect for our holiday in Vienna. The location is great - close to shops, public transport and many restaurants. We were able to easily walk to the Museum district, Belvedere, the Leopold Museum and many other attractions. The apartment was spacious, spotless and had plenty...

We stayed in the "Godel" apartment for two nights in the middle of our 2 1/2 week trip. Perfect timing to catch up on our laundry with the great little washing machine, but also to be able to make a dinner in the nicely equipped kitchen - we get tired of eating out every night on vacation! We did not...

The Godel is an amazingly spacious and immaculate apartment in a great location close to shops, bars and restaurants. There are trams nearby and the U3 metro is round the corner. It is perfect for visiting all over Vienna but it is only a lovely short walk to the museum district then on through to the city centre. The room...

Very beautiful decor and very comfy bed. Just only a few block to the famous shopping street and a lot of shops and restaurants. The famous museum quartier and museum takes 15-20mins walk. Very close to the subway "U- Neubaug." Only 5 mins walk.

My boyfriend booked us here as a surprise weekend for my 21st in the Freud Suite. The taxi from the airport cost us about €35 and took about 30/40 minutes and the hotel itself is about a 2 minute walk away from the nearest tube station Neubaugasse which had good links to the city. I was absolutely blown away by...

We enjoyed staying in the beautiful “Gödel” apartment. The host is warm and welcoming and knows Vienna well. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings and a tiny balcony in the courtyard (smoky air compliments of a neighbor). It’s in a classic Viennese apartment building, with a wonderful vintage elevator (that works most of the time) and a winding stone...

We arrived at the Haupt Bahnoff (Main Station) from Prague. It was a 40 minute walk from there to this place. But when we left for Salzburg, we left from the West Train station which was just a 10 minute walk from the place. Very convenient. The place itself was another apartment type housing with an inconspicuous front. A lift...

This B&B has it all. It's location is in Neubau and about 3 mins from an underground station (€2 fare), the room was very clean and bright with a truly amazing bathroom that had a built in radio and always clean sheets and towels. Free WiFi of course. We arrived late Friday and even though there was no one around...

The "wow" of other TA reviewers is true in terms of the room and the location -- they're excellent. But if you're looking for the personal touch in a B & B experience, this is probably not the place for you--and is why I'm not giving Rosa Linde a higher rating. The owner who I first encountered upon arrival did...

We do not usually comment on guest reviews, only in cases of factual errors. Please note that in fact we - the Rosa Linde B&B owners - of course live here, actually on the same floor. We are very sorry about the closed restaurant and strive to keep all the information as correct as we can. The issue with the...

What a find. We will never stay anywhere else in Vienna. A stunning room with a bathroom I would love to duplicate at home. An easy walk from the Westbahnhauf Train Station and just as easy a walk to the Old Town. The owner and Franz could not have been more helpful. We felt very welcome. They recommended some great...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
