I stayed two nights April 11th-13th. The hotel is located a little bit outside the city center, but the excellent public transportation system takes you in a few minutes to the hotel. The location close to Pratern is very convenient when you are coming from or going to the airport as it is a cheap direct line with the train...

This was the second time I'd stayed at this hotel while attending conferences in Vienna. That says something in itself. It's very comfortable; the room I stayed in was well appointed and very clean though the bathroom was looking a little tired (pale brown suite). The hotel is conveniently situated between the city center and the main conference center close...

We were driving our own car and had to briefly park in front to find out where to park as we had driven through the maze of alleys a couple of times looking for parking lot. The receptionist gave us the address for our GPS and we drove directly to it. Location is perfect. Close to trains and trams. Also,...

We were in the hotel April 2015 with 8 people. Service was good and rooms were nice. Breakfast was a little disappointing to me. Usually at that time when we went to eat (8.30) there wasn't that much to eat anymore. Hams and cheeses were usually ending.

This is a nice hotel in a convenient location. Very close to metro station, clean rooms, & a good breakfast. I was there for a congress & the location was only a 15 minute metro ride. Very good restaurants are within walking distance as well as sight. I'd stay again.

Hotel Wien is very pretty and well located across the river from Vienna proper. We walked everywhere from here. The hotel was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The room rate was affordable considering we were out and about most of the time.

We stayed here two different times during our one week visit to Eastern/Central Europe. We booked a superior room for a total of three people at this hotel. During our first stay, we paid 20 Euros for an extra bed (on top of what had been quoted). This first time, we were satisfied with our stay here. However, during our...

Dear Far0785., thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about your stay and to inform other travelers about your personal experience and expectations. I regret that the room you got during your 2nd stay did not meet these expectations. During your first stay we upgraded you to one of our Premium quadruple rooms and we...

Stayed at this hotel from 23/2/to 26/2/15. The hotel is conveninntly located 5 minutes walk from the Praterstern railway station, where you can get the S7 train directly to the airport for 4.50 euros. The hotel is very clean, the staff is helpful, especially the lady and the gentleman on the morning shifts (sorry, I did not ask your names,...

The hotel is in an ideal location in relation to public transportation (to and from the airport and major points of the city). It is very quiet and clean and I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff. I think it will become my preferred hotel of Vienna and i highly recommend it.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
