We were there with my friend 2 nights. Receptionists were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and had small vestibule with a sink (in my dormitory in Plzen, we haven´t sink in a room). The showers were clean, but women’s showers were one floor up or down. Once I must use men’s shower (without men), because women's showers were...

I would like to point the main disadvantages of this horrible place... -No kitchen or fridge in the room -5 euros for 1 day internet either you use it or not. Several disconnections and upper limit the 3Gb. -5 euros for breakfast each day. The orange juice must had been with water. -No cleaning service. Two days now and I...

A complete let down. This hostel is a student halls. There is no kitchen, the rooms smell like an old church. It has the atmosphere of an old mental asylum. No common area so impossible to meet others. Stay away! However the location is nice.

I had to go to Viena for academic purposes, that's mean a cheap travel. The place is clean and relaxing. In your room you only have a bed, a desk and a place to wash your hands and teeth. Inside your room there's no a toilet neither a shower, so you have to go upstairs and take a shower. The...

As a student living at he Porzellaneum in term time I would have to say that the current price (30 euros per night) is excellent value since it is extremely uncommon to get a private room at this price. Since i will recommend this place to visiting friends and have enjoyed living here I thought I should write a positive...

I was there for a conference and stayed there cause it was close to the university. I wouldn't stay there again. Toilets were smelly and communal showers provided no privacy. I was surprised by having towels tho.

This was one of my worst stay in a "hotel" ever! At night it was very noisy because of drunk students who talked in the courtyard until approximately 3 am. During the day it was very noisy because of the tram. At first, i couldn't find the men showers until i realized i had to go to the upper floor....

This converted dorm is clean and I slept well, but there were several downsides - (1) no elevator...the 6th floor was quite a long schlepp after a full day on the train (2) showers are in one large room with no partitions so one feel pretty exposed (3) internet is quite costly and very slow (4) lots of students drinking...

I paid only 25euro for a single room, but it was worth more than that. It is a student accomodation, so everything was basic, but it was just enough. In the room, there were a big desk, a bed, a chest, a rubbish bin, and a hand washing basin. Stuffs were very friendly . The location was great as well....

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
