In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Excellent location, convenient for opera. Clean and comfortable room (upgraded, which was appreciated). Good breakfast. Public areas a bit limited (no lounge), lift lobby unwelcoming, with tobacco smoke smell, and lift lighting very gloomy. In Vienna, city of music, they seemed

Hello pra51, thank you so much for staying with us and for taking the time and sharing your impressions. It is absolutely fantastic to hear that you could profit from our location right in the heart of beautiful Vienna next to iconic landmarks such as the Opera House, The Museum Quarter with its great art museums or the most famous shopping streets like Kohlmarkt or Graben. All of us here at Le Méridien Vienna are aiming to go the extra mile for our valued guests and we indeed appreciate hearing your kind words regarding our delicious breakfast. About the poor lit elevators please let us explain that the elevator ride is an important part of our four parts arrival experience where in the first 10 minutes after arriving at the hotel we are aiming to create a memorable and unique experience for our guests: Le Méridien transforms the expected and predictable event of riding an elevator into an “elevated experience” through a 24 hour unique soundscape. What a pity hearing we could not fully convince you. Dear pra51, thank you again for your time, it would be our pleasure welcoming you again. Kindest regards, Petra and the LM Mgt. team
