I stayed 1 week in this hostel in the center of Vienna. The place is clean, breakfast is good and staff is very polite and helpful. Location of this hostel is very good, is located 5 min walking from all main places in Vienna.

The reality is that the hostel it's not bad, it's well located, has a great breakfast, and WiFi is petty good. We had some problems because in our room was an old man that was sick or whatever, and start to talk alone insulting who knows who, he call someone by phone at 4am (yes, 4am) and he didn't leave...

For a one night stay it was ideal. 24h reception also very good with friendly people even in the night. In the bar people were sitting, talking. The room was quiet from 22:30. The breakfast was nice and fresh.

Our experience at this hostel was just OK. Stayed for two nights and enjoyed their clean facilities. It is conveniently located close to grocery stores and public transport. There is however zero atmosphere and too many signs, rules & warnings of fines for breaking rules. We are long-term travellers, and enjoy a relaxed environment where socialising with other travellers is...

Dear Guest, we run a Youth hostel, where we welcome groups of students (during the school months) and backpackers (all the year long) alike. To ensure that both of these diverse groups can have a safe and respectful stay together in our house, we found it the best to highlight certain rules. Some of our House Rules refer to the...

We stayed here two nights. The hostel bedrooms are kind of cramped, but you are provided a large locker where I put my bag. The bathrooms get dirty pretty quickly. It is a 20 minute walk from the city centre of Vienna. There is an extremely weird mix of people staying at this hostel, there was a 65 year old...

The Westend is a great place for younger backpackers looking for a comfortable place in Vienna. The hotel was in a safe neighborhood, near the main train station. It was also near the main strip in Vienna, which made for about a 20-minute walk to the city center. The staff was great. Everybody was really willing to help, chat and...

No frills, comfy bed, good shower. It was all I generally look for in a hostel. Our group was fortunate enough to have our own room. The room was a ten person with only one bathroom, so I would definitely say that's its largest flaw. Other than that it was a good stay.

First of all, I would like to start by saying that the staff there was amazing, I can give them that. But the atmosphere itself in the hostel was not what I expected for the price. To top things off, one guy's iPad was stolen. So I would suggest you to consider staying at this place.

The hostel itself is simple, but good. I stayed 2 nights with a friend and we had a very nice time in Vienna. The room is quite simple for the price but the location is very good. The bonus was the receptionist guy that was really nice and helpful with us. I'm rating as very good because of him.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
