I would highly recommend the Hotel Terminus Vienna. The staff was most accomodating, friendly and helpful. They advertise that "Pets are Welcome" and they certainly are....our small dog was treated like royalty. The rooms were clean and the hotel location is ideal for exploring Vienna on foot or by public transportation. Our stay at the Terminus really enhanced our great...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel this February and although it doesnt have all the extras it is very good value for money and you cant beat the location! Plus with a little care you get free parking in the nearby streets... Be sure to ask for supplements at breakfast ( they have this strange custom there of...

Okay, so the Terminus is a bit basic, but it's full of character, the staff & especially the manager are really friendly & helpful. Not just surface friendly, but really interested in making sure you enjoy Vienna & your stay. A different breakfast each day, or variation & existentially challenging conversation. I like! It's clean & super-close to the Museum...

We chose this hotel on location and budget price. It was clean, basic rooms with ensuite, TV etc. Staff were helpful and spoke good english. The breakfast was included and was very good value. We paid 60 euro per night double. Close to Metro and shops, easy walk to the Museum quarter and not far into the old part. Plenty...

We found this hotel to be good value with clean rooms and very nice and friendly staff. The breakfast was varied slightly from day to day. Near U-bahn and museum quarter. The staff were very helpful too.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
