Lots to like about this place, start with the very outgoing and friendly staff..the location is right near 2 lines of the metro so getting "downtown" is a breeze. The hotel bar serves some pretty good beer and has a decent selection of Austrian wines. We were there over the holidays so it was pretty quiet around the hotel at night,...

The hotel is located in the modern suburb of Vienna, between the Vienna Fair and Prater amusement park. It is a solid, modern hotel, with all necessary facilities. Rooms are nice and spacious, staff is professional and helpful, the hotel has its own garage (which has to be paid extra, but it is like that everywhere in Vienna). The U2 subway...

We didn't had much expectation from this hotel, considering price was very decent for a city like vienna. But to our surprise, we had a very pleasant stay. There were limited services in the hotel, no restaurant, a small bar, no kettle in the room. It was very basic yet very comfortable. if you are just looking to sleep over...

Very clean and modern hotel. Beds were decent, showers standard size and had good water pressure. Rooms were modern and not too small or cramped. Staff were efficient. The lifts get very busy at certain times due to the large number of rooms/guests so there was often a wait. Due to the size of the hotel breakfast gets very very...

My wife and I like to go to Vienna during the holiday season to view the spectacular Christmas decorations in the downtown shopping area and just plain soak up the holiday spirit that pervades the area. We were lucky to find to a real good deal on the booking.com website for a two-night stay at the Austria Trend Hotel Wien...

Hotel has everything you need. The rooms are very clean, the bed is so cozy and the breakfast is amazing. The subway station is right in front of the hotel, so you can get to the center for 10 min....

Decent hotel near metro stop. But (in two separate rooms I occupied) the thermostat, or temperature control was just a dummy -- either non-functional, or only for show. That is OK in the daytime since the temperature was approximately 26 degrees Celsius. But at night that is a problem because the hotel only has thick duvets. Two requests for ordinary...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
