I travelled with business in Wien and since I had to work near MariaHilfer, I assumed that this hotel might prove a viable alternative. Not really, the location is indeed very good, but the hotel is not what it should be , even for a 2 stars one. There was a funny smell, the hotel was not really clean, space...

I was in that Hotel foe one week. We left out money, passports, and tickets for plane in safe. It were stole. Hotel's owner told us that in was the first theft. But I have read many bad stories about Minu 3 on the Internet. Please, if you stay at this hotel, be careful, don't but your money in safe!

My friend & I (Silver travellers) have just returned from a great 4 day trip to Vienna. Beautiful city lots to see all walking distance. Minu 3 is situated just off main shopping street, Mariahilfer Strasse very close to U3 underground station. Unprepossessing entrance to Pension but staff very helpful. Rooms clean although in need of updating. We did not...

the location is very convenient, but my room was dark, there was no sink plug and the towels etc are changed only every five days. I felt the cleaning of the room was minimal though the management said it was done daily, There was an unpleasnt sweetish smell in the room .The breakfast was a waste of time with appalling...

Wow, I actually read the other two reviews and STILL booked it up. I could not believe how tatty the hotel and the room was. No money has been spent on this hotel since the Archduke Ferdinand, 1914 was assassinated. Why they haven't changed the light bulbs from 10 watts to something that you can actually read from defeats me....

This hotel is an absolute rip-off: the Ibis up the road was only 5 euros more. It is extremely sub-standard, windows and doors not close or lock properly, only had 5 mins of hot water in the shower, the bed was lumpy and low, the whole place looked like it was furnished by a second hand shop and stank of...

I don't know who wrote the favorable review but it's obviously not an honest one. If you want to experience staying in a slum, then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, it's an expensive slum at that. I've only seen one other hotel room comparable to this one and it was in the slums of Chicago when I was...

We stayed at this hotel in December 2004 after our travel agent recommended this hotel because of its reasonable price and excellent location. The location is the best feature of this hotel, it is about a 30 second walk from one the busiest and best shopping street in Vienna - Mariahilfer Strasse. About a 30 second walk away is a...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
