I've been 2 times and I like the hotel. Rooms, superior, is small therefore in 2 the space is very limited. Breakfast could be improved, but nevertheless is good enough. Not really in downtown and this could be a killer if you need an hotel, as I do, that does not require taxi, you have to walk around 15-20 min...

We stayed here with our family in June, 2014. We are a family of four with two teenagers and it was the perfect location. Lovely boutique hotel with great service, great location, great breakfasts and wonderful rooms. Short walking distance to most sights. Would stay here again when next we visit Vienna!

I spent three nights here and have only great things to say about it. Absolute nicest staff, a lovely, clean room, complementary breakfast, great shower pressure, free WIFI-just an ideal spot to spend a few days. I would gladly stay here if visiting Vienna again!

We recently spent 3 nights at this wonderful boutique hotel in Vienna. The location was terrific - a short walk to the Ring attractions. The rooms, although small, were very comfortable. We were especially impressed with the bathroom. The shower had great water pressure! Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of breakfast foods. Eggs were cooked to order. The...

I stayed at this hotel. While on a Munich Vienna trip. This hotel is of very high standard and very clean . This is a small boutique hotel with a personal touch, the rooms are very nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful in everyway. I also had the breakfast buffet with my stay and found it...

Stayed here July 2014. Initial hiccup with hotel assigning the wrong kind of room for my stay. This was fixed after the first night and I was moved to the balcony studio I reserved. The extra cost for the balcony studio is well worth it as the room is larger with a sofa bed and the balcony overlooks the shopping...

Luxury might be taking it to be bit of a stretch but the staff make up the difference. After touring 5 western European Countries, I had a pretty good feel for the hotel market and enjoyed teh small intimate setting of the Das Tyrol. The staff always ready with a hello, good bye or may I help. Teh included breakfast...

Well positioned. Difficult for elderly people with luggage as parking to offload luggage is a bit complicated. No valet parking. Minimum staff. But very pleasant service and nice hotel, clean rooms and convenient location.

This small hotel is big on location. Just a 5 minute walk from the wonderful museums and the very centre of Vienna!. The Hotel is located on the longest shopping strip in Vienna, so there is always plenty to do. Yet despite this excellent location, there was no noise in my room (34) and I slept wonderfully on my very...

This charming hotel is tucked just off a major shopping street that leads directly to the museum district. It takes less than five minutes to reach the Ring Road. The personal service is great! I want to mention Armin, Nadine and Bettina on the front desk. Each of them are knowledgable and most eager to assist. When my scheduled tours...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
