This small hotel was a winner from the beginning. There instructions on getting there from the train station were precise and actually easier than we made it. Little additions like , head in the direction of McDonalds and its across the street a couple bocks...More
Our first trip to Vienna and I was initially concerned about the hotel's location. Location was perfect: close to the Museumquarter and to the KHM, near a U-bahn stop for easy access to any part of Vienna. Room was wonderful: quiet, comfortable [OK, I'm not...More
We can't say enough good things about this hotel! We arrived a day early after a re-route due to the border closings and the hotel was full but Betina stepped up and found us a room around the corner at a great price with breakfast...More
Certainly one of the best small hotels we've encountered. Good bed, spacious room, top service, friendly and helpful staff, terrific breakfast and a very good location just outside the ringstrasse. Be sure to visit the Cafe Spurl, nearby.
We stayed 3 nights and booked it because it is part of SLH. Nadine and Bettina at the front desk are wonderful and extremely helpful, they certainly know how to take care of their guests. Rooms are very comfortable and with a balcony you can...More
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with
its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
