Family with three boys, aged 12, 11 and 9. We got two joined rooms, five single beds we could put together in lots of combinations, lots of living space, a huge bathroom (shower, not bath) and separate toilet. Easy to live in! Breakfast is continental, leisurely and really very good. Family run, very solicitous. The following week I returned on... More

This hotel is fantastic! It's crazy cheap, our room was huge (we were also upgraded for free!), the staff are very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was perfect. It's on a quiet street but it's not far to walk to the museum district. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was the best part, lots of variety! The room could have been cleaner, especially the floors and bedsheets. This place is about a 10min walk from the U-line stations. If you keep the windows closed at night then you don't hear much noise at all.

My sister and I loved this quaint hotel. Our room was huge and included three single beds, a seating area, a small TV, a mini fridge and a sink. Our room overlooked the street but when we closed the windows we couldn't hear any street noise. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast which consisted of various breads, cheese, meat, yogurt, cereal,... Very nice family hotel in an old building and especially very close to the City center just by walk. We spnt there one night with my friend and slept very well after a long day walking in Wienn historical part of the City. The hotel is very quiet and you can also have your car parked in their mini garage.

Decent accommodation for its price and location. Very helpful and friendly staff, explained to us how to get to the centre and gave us a free map. The room was clean, towels, bath robe and soap provided. Also a welcome chocolate which was very nice. The shared toilet and shower were also clean but shower drain was blocked. One downside... This is an exceptionally clean and well-run establishment. Breakfasts are superb & generous. Our room (with toilet/sink in room & shower in hall) was very spacious with lots of windows and nice table/chairs. Plenty of storage for your things. Linens very clean and bed comfy. Cleaning staff were professional & kind. Lovely, quiet courtyard where we could also keep our... More

Read the other reviews! I was in a very large room for a week, with olde Euro style toilet and shower down the hall. No problem - slippers and a robe provided, and I never had to wait for either facility. There were a few of each on the floor. All super clean. The whole place seems unpretentious (stairs and... My sister and I stayed here for 5 nights in July 2016. We had a 2nd floor room with its own ensuite. The bedroom was simply huge, overlooking a peaceful courtyard. Great value and good location. The entire facility is spotless. Two disappointments - there were no English TV channels available, despite having cable TV - not even CNN. There... More

My family of four (myself, husband and our two 20-something daughters) stayed in a Family Apartment at Pension Kraml for 4 nights in May 2016. Pension Kraml was a wonderful value; we stayed for Youth Hostel prices and had hotel-quality lodgings. We will recommend Pension Kraml and we hope to return to Vienna and stay here again ourselves I chose... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
