We booked the hostel last minute as our booking elsewhere fell through. The room was adequate, slightly noisy due to the trains and breakfast was basic. Staff were very friendly and helpful despite being disturbed late in the evening past reception closing time.

Was in Bodø for a business trip but there were literally no hotel vacancies in the whole town. So I ended up in a 8 bunk room in the Bodø Vandrerhjem. I am used to great hotels for work travels, but the Vandrerhjem did not disappoint. 8-man room is never perfect, but everything was well organized, clean and facilities looked...

Very pleasant. Super convenient location in the train station. Super clean, great common kitchen with everything you need and very well organized. Small but functional rooms. Great WIFI. Was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast is the standout which even includes Salmon. As with most of Norway, it's a bit hard on budget travelers paying $100US per night for a "budget" property...but such...

I stayed in the hostel for a week while waiting for my flat to be finished. This hostel has some very pleasing aspects mixed with disappointing ones, yet the lovely, friendly staff compensate for the latter very well. What I like is the big windows n the rooms, bathroom is cleaned everyday, plentiful breakfast, very well equipped kitchen, fast and...

HI Hostels are generally a step above other hostels and this one is no exception. Every area is kept very clean and it is just a practical and inexpensive stay in Bodø. One really exceptional amenity is the breakfast that is included in the price of your stay. Also the location of the hostel is perfect if you are arriving...

We only spent one night there but we had a great stay. Staff very friendly (he even gave us his map for the lofoten Islands during our stay there). Bathroom clean. We could wash our clothes and dry them. They sell powder at the reception. The only thing is the receptionist is not always at the reception so we have...

The location of this hostel is very good if you are going on the ferry or train. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean but very small and the price is very high for what you get. We got in Oslo a much better hostel at a nearly half the price of this hostel. But all hotels in Bodo...

We were very happy to get something on such short notice and had to leave the next day by train, so we weren't too picky and it was perfect that we could get on the train directly from the hostel. the room is a bit under-equiped and the bed was a little shaky but everything is clean and we even...

The hostel was very clean with an inviting atmosphere. The kitchen to cook in was very clean as well. The location was very central to most forms of transportation, even the 2 km walk to the airport before a long flight. The breakfast buffet was delicious, as well as the breakfast room. Very price worthy too. The midnight sun could...

Hostel is located in the building of the railway station. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and warm and the staff is friendly. Breakfast (buffet) is really delicious and large. Includes smoked salmon, eggs, bread, ham, cheese, something sweet, coffee, tea, etc. Hostel has a kitchen for guests and a room with a TV and a computer (with internet access).

“Hostel is really wide, so you can be close to the kitchen (300+) or to exit (200+) - it's your call :)”

“I was with my wife and daughter but in a male dormitory. It was fine, I assume they are all the same so can't see any particular problem with any. I guess l had good worn out room mates who wanted to sleep as much as l did. Excellent shower.”

“Ask for a room facing the harbour. The blinds in our room were not up to scratch so we were wide awake at 6 in the morning. However, if you are an early bird then I suppose that this dosn`t matter too much.”
