Fair hotel with some issues to be addressed, I won’t stay there again. When I arrived it seemed like they were fully booked and thus had problems handling any new booking since the room cleaning still was ongoing at 2000 in the evening and this annoyed the receptionist so much that I didn’t get any information regarding breakfast times or where I could get breakfast. I didn’t get any information regarding restaurant or dinner possibilities either at the hotel or close by... They state that they have parking, but that’s limited, so don’t expect a reserved space, thankfully there are street parking around the hotel! (I had pre booked, so at least the room was available for me) The room itself was spacious, but there was a fold out bunk bed on the wall, so it was probably a family room and not a single/double room as booked. The room was dusty and could have been cleaned better, it was not stained or any foul smell but dust everywhere. The glasses provided in the bathroom was dirty, easily spotted by the cleaning staff if they had checked! There were two plastic cups in the empty minibar, but these had no sealed bag and there was no possibility to verify that they had not been used. The ventilation was close to nonexistent so the room was too hot, but it was an audible hum throughout the night without any apparent cooling being performed, when I looked at the ventilation openings they were full of lumpy grey dust and had not been cleaned in a long time. Lastly the breakfast buffet was mediocre compared to all the other Scandic hotels I’ve stayed at lately, even with COVID restrictions enforced...

Our family drove from Trondheim to Tromsø in mid July and chose Meyergarden for one overnight stay. We had a very good dinner at Meyergarden and slept well in our beds. With the excellent breakfast (buffet) next morning, we were very fit for day two in the car.

Breakfast was overall good, if not low on upkeep. Room was clean, but needs a restoration. The personnel was overall horrible. Just one smile to be found... and it was not on check in or out. so, Title
