This hotel is situated in a nice area of Oslo with plenty of good places to eat nearby. The rooms are quite dark. Beds OK. Stayed one floor above the reception, no problem with noise from the street as long as the window is closed. Aircondition.

this is an Energy Class A hotel, so for me is already a top one! Also is modern, with an amazing style and well decorated, cozy and all the staff is kind and smiling. Rooms and toilets are always very clean. For the breakfast there is big assortment: lots of bread, few choices of gluten free cakes and biscuits, waffle...

FCSI Nordic (Foodeservice Consultant Society International) Was to hold a meeting for their Nordic members in Oslo. This was the first time to arrange it in Norway. I was "chosen" to arrange the Meeting and make sure it was a success. FCSI meetings starts with lunch, then meeting , fine dining, hotel-night and breakfast. These guests are those consultants that...

On our first visit to Scandic Vulkan we stayed four nights in probably the smallest, most poorly decorated and furnished room we have ever experienced. In hindsight we should have booked a higher grade room initially or asked for another room on arrival but we were in Oslo primarily to see our son who is studying there, so the location...

I am sorry to read that you did not like our decoration, and the prize you paid for the room - but I am very happy to read that you enjoyed our nice breakfast and our helpful staff. All the best from all of us.

Stayed at the Scandic Vulkan in March this year, lovely room with everything required for a short city break in Oslo. Comfortable seating in lounge/reception area. Excellent inclusive breakfast, with a wide choice to set you up for a busy day walking around the city of Oslo. Next door is a Mathallen, serving a selection of different foods, including an...

Scandic Vulkan is a modern hotel (opened 2011) about 2 km from the very city centre. The hotel is right next to the Grünerløkka area with plenty of bars, cafés and culture. Hotel is 15-20 min walk from the main train station, Oslo Sentralstasjon, or 10 min from door to door with bus (34 or 54). I was lucky to...

I wish I could remember the name of the woman who served as the concierge during my stay at the Scandic Vulkan! She was helpful, kind, and took time to inform me of local festivities, the available amenities of the hotel, and how to travel throughout the city from Grünerløkka with ease. She was one of the sweetest Norwegians I...

I spent one night at Scandic Vulken and have decided that will be my future place in Oslo. As far as I am concerned hotel rooms are for sleeping, and what I ask for is a comfortable bed and and nice bathroom. Which is what I got. The foyer offers interesting art and original furnishings that gave me a friendly...
