We stayed at the Anker Hotel for 3 nights in August 2012. The rooms and service were very basic. The bins were emptied on the second day, but the beds were not made and the rooms were not hoovered or tidied in any way. The breakfast was plentiful but basic and during busy periods it was hard to find a...

Pleasant stay. Big and clean rooms. Selection of TV channels poor only Norwegian. Breakfast with an okay selection of choices. Surroundings are not good. Located in "problematic" area of Oslo. I heard or saw nothing but it was clear to every one on the street that this neighbourhood was below average in Oslo. Karl Johan is ~1 km walking distance....

This hotel was classfied by the operator as 3 star and so we booked a standard double room but on arrival in the afternoon the reception area was still being vacumed which sent alarm bells off. When we saw the room it was far more akin to a 2 star, compared to previous experience the room was very small, not...

Oslo is the most expensive city I have ever visited, I was astonised at how expensive it is, buying alcohol in bars and even buying a sandwich is almost prohibitive! However, the Anker Hotel is good value, a good convenient location and kept in a clean and tidy condition. It is basic but has everything you need. I would recommend...

Norway is the most expensive country I have ever visited so this hotel and it's great value was a welcome relief! The breakfast is very good and the hotel is easily within walking distance to all Oslo has to offer. Hotel staff were very friendly.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Clean & practical. Front Desk staff have no idea what a smile is. They are not hospitality people. There was one guy that worked the desk, he was knowledgeable and helpful on the other hand the 2 blondes absolutely useless and did not care one bit about the hotel guest. The room was adequate,...

Had an IT conference and company booked me in at the Anker hotel. It was good value for the money, but don’t expect all the bells and whistles. Rooms were clean, staff were pleasant enough. Good for those on a budget, but for those who want the upmost in luxury this is probably not your place.

The hotel is really close to Oslo S central station. You can go on foot and it takes around 10 minutes. If you want to go by bus or tram, it is around the corner, close to Hausmannsgate station. I thought the neighborhood was kinda scary in the first night, but I hope this was just a bad impression. The...

Stayed here many times. Location is very good. 10 minutes walk from city center. Once had problem with not cleaned room, once I found man sleeping in the room I just got. A few times got room with sewage system problems and stinking horribly. Once got burned kettle with food residues inside. Once got smoky room. But staff is quite...
