My husband and I stayed for a night, and we found Perminalen to be a great value for the area. We had a converted conference room to ourselves + a separate bathroom that were both very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly & helpful, and we found the area to be perfectly walkable to most places...

Service  The people at reception seemed good and friendly. The only real complaint I would have is about the lockers, I wrote to the hostel asking if there were lockers. I was told there were lockers but you would have to supply your own lock. This was not true from my experience. There would be no way of locking the...

Combination hotel/hostel/Army barracks with clean up-to-date basic rooms and wonderful breakfast buffet. Good location. Near main drag between the station and the palace. Best prices in Oslo. You'll meet lots of interesting people.

I choose this hotel because very close to the center and the metro station. The price is very low if you consider the medium price of Oslo's accomodation. It has everything you need and there is a breakfast included, good in my opinion.

Great location, nearby Karl Johan's Gate, City Hall, Pier for ferry ride to Bygdoy, Opera House. About 10min walking from Oslo Central Station. Friendly staffs, good breakfast, clean room. Only one thing they need to improve is the wifi connection, available only at common area and 1st floor.

Perminalen hotel has a superb location just one block from the main drag Karl Johans gate and is relatively inexpensive compared to other accomodation options in pricey Norway. The rooms, restaurant and facilities are rather bland though and the kebab I ate in the restaurant was not good at all. Took me several minutes wait to get hot water in...

This hotel is really a hostel with a few amenities. Linens and 1 towel per person are included, as well as a very good traditional Norwegian breakfast. The rooms are clean, but spartan. Good location in a seemingly safe area. Lots of young people staying here so it is a little noisy late at night. The receptionist was very helpful...

Rooms are tidy and clean. Hotels in Oslo are quite expensive and this is the one with relatively resonable price for short stay. It is not far away from the railroad station just you have to walk up the slope along the road when you get from the station to the hotel. The slope is not steep but you can't...
