I stayed here for four nights while visiting Oslo. As hostels go it's about what you can hope for. It's pretty clean, in a good area, reasonably priced. The beds were comfortable as well. The common area has internet access, and as a result is always crowded with people using the web - so getting a seat down there can...

Having used hostels all over the world I can say without reservation that this is the worst hostel in the western world. There is no kitchen or living area just crowded little rooms. Staff are unpleasant and there is an extra charge for everything. Seems to be in a dodgy area of Oslo, warnings about pickpockets in the lobby.

Hi, I ordered 6 nights single room stay at this hostel and got a confirmation. One night earlier the departure my stuff was taken from the room and set to plastic bag for trash and I was kicked out of the hostel. Even though the mistake was at the Anker side, they did not offer me another room because it...

I have booked the Hostel with the Norwegian airlines which offers a great deals when you are traveling within the Scandinavian countries. You might get confused when you book since there is Anker Hostel and Anker Hotel which belong to the same company and they are next to each others. The room are clean but you have to rent linen...

A little bit expensive (but this is normal in Norway). The rooms are very simple and the commom area is small and not very "happy". But if you want just sleep is ok! The hostel is close to the central station (about 7 minutes walking) but the neighborhood is not the beeeest one.

Oslo being super expensive, we ended up at the Anker hostel, the cheapest hostel available. Locationwise, it is very central and we did not have to use public transport during the three days we were there, which was good for our wallet. However, being close to the main station, it was in the middle of a not-so-safe area. The hostel...

I stayed one night (room 3-11 - don't stay in it) and there were bed bugs. On the plus side, they moved me when I went down to complain. The next day, one of the staff was really helpful in helping me sort and wash everything (and that means everything including luggage), but still eliminating bed bugs was not what...
